10w 40 is not good for Swift. 5w 30 or 40 is much muchbetter if the mileage is below 100000 km
Recommended grade is 10w40
Why use less grade oil like 5w30
My manual swift has done 43 K . should i go for SGO gear oil ?
Well ..personally for me ..I found my car started to knock in 2nd gear on 10w 40 (which is recommended) and ever since I switched to 5w-40 ... it's perfectly fine so I wouldn't recommend 10w 40 unless the car reaches a lot of mileage... 1 lakh or close.
5w40 fully synthetic is good for all seasons in Pakistan for swift.
As your car crossed 40k. Your warranty is over. Now you are free from Suzuki oils.
Better to switch to other good brand fully synthetic oils.
I have a 2011 Dlx ..Done 139000 on the odometer .. I have always put suzuki 5000 mileage oil .. Now want to change .. after seeing the thread .. any recommendation .. Just changed the transmission oil .. and brake pads .. and coolant .. saw the thread should i go for Zic 10 -40 or Havoline PRo Ds 5 40 ..Fully Synthetic .. ?? .. and oil filter is lippon ? Should i go for it ?
do not use lippon oil filter. use genuine filter only.
as your car crossed 1 lakh KMs better to use 10W-40 synthetic.

ZIC is recommended. LM is insanely expensive for no apparent reason when you can buy best brands in helf the price.
Zic XQ 5W-40 is around 3800 Rs where as LM High Tech Synthoil 5W-40 is around 4500 Rs. not a big difference
Got the Havoline Pro Ds in the car .. with original Suzuki Filter .. Was a hassle to get the filter first and then go for the oil .. but was worth it .. All the knocking went away .. had to travel from abbottabad to lahore after that .. really enjoyed the drive .. Got from Burhan to Lahore .. in 3 hours 5 min (kept flooring it) ... Going to keep the same routine and get this oil from now on .. Thank for the Advice ..

Well honestly with in the city I havent checked that much .. but I usually have a long run 2 to 3 times in a month .. and the avg which my car gives from the very first days is almost 325 to 335 km in half a tank with ac ..if you drive with rpm at 3 ..in 5th gear ... and now my car odometer is at 139000 and the avg is almost the same .. and i have this car now almost 6 yrs .. and i am still in love with it .. but this is my personal experience .. people have diff opnion about avg .. with in the city its expensive .. and the avg is not that gud

I think 21 liters is half a tank for swift .. If i am not wrong ..
