Engine oil reduced with no symptoms (Honda Civic 8th gen)

am using Honda's engine oil 5W30. Problem is that engine oil is reduced after just 3K Km and I get to get it replaced. Previously it used to run 5K. Just now I checked and it is quarter after 2300km. Engine mileage is 160K Km. The main issues is that I have checked for leakages, oil burning, oil mixing with water but there are absolutely no symptoms. Can anyone guide technically where the oil goes. Honda recommended to use 10w30 but i think it will make no difference as viscosity when oil is hot is still 30 and it would be same as 5w30 when hot. But first the question is where is the oil going.

Check pcv valve

It might mean the cat con is doing its job by converting smoke into CO2 and water that's why there is no visible smoke from exhaust. If PCV is OK get the compression test done.

Hmm okay so now we have to start on here.

How often do you check the engine oil ?
How much quantity is poured in the engine at the time of refill?
Does you check the oil level periodically after a week or not?
And what does the colour of the oil looks like on the dip stick ?

Any engine performance issues faced recently and kind of misbehavior of the engine like sometimes lack of power or any kind of knock or acceleration lags?

Well I check on and off. Right now I checked after 2327 KM.
Quantity ? It is 3.7 Liters. Maybe you mean to say I refill or top up ? No I always get all the engine oil replaced. Even if it is just at 2500 km mark.
I would say every 2 to 3 weeks general.
Well hard to tell color but i can tell it is not black.

The only issue faced is then when I change from reverse to 1st gear and when from neutral to 1st gear, there is vibration and RPM drops from standard 750 idle and then goes back to 750. Other than that there are no other symptoms, car runs fine.

Ok I also read online that I should check PCV. However, honda people said no need and secondly I read that there are symptoms of bad PCV valve but there were none. How to check PCV ? take it out and inspect it or are there some readings that can be read from ECU ?

Okay problem no 1 detected rough idle which should not be present PCV system in these Hondas are solid so it doesn't gets clogged easily.
What about the air filter maintenance how regulartita been changed? What is the interval of air filter replacement.

Second in which conditions vehicle is driven oftenly local jam traffic's or complete highway drive?

Air filter is changed as per need, I always get the air filter checked at oil change and get it changed if Honda guys tell me that it needs to be changed. If they say if can run another at least 3K or more then i don't change immediately otherwise I get it changed.
Vehicle is driven on Motorways but mostly within city, however mostly areas like canal road, Gulberg and cantt as these are the areas I travel to most for work.
Also regarding vibration and RPM drop, it is not related to oil mount as I got it replaced and it is also OEM. Last tuning was also done around 35K km back with new plugs.

Rpm drop is not related to engine foundation.

Okay now let's go for the engine smoke test to perform it warm up the engine and then remove the oxygen sensor and start the engine and rev it up and observe the oil smoke from exhaust if there is smoke then engine has already detoriated

Yes I know but just mentioned cause some others were still saying this when i mentioned vibration, although RPM drop is also there.

One sensor right above the catalytic converter, that is an oxygen sensor. I know there are probably 2, so I youtube'd and found another sensor further down. Which one are you talking about, the top one ?

Secondly isnt the o2 sensor used to control the mixture ? if so than removing it will make smoke come out from exhaust, white smoke or blue ?. If possible can you explain or point to some link regarding this for my understanding.

Somehow I cannot find it but I remember someone posted about my understanding of 5w30 and 10w30. I read online and it seems my understanding was correct,

**Performance of 5w30 Vs. 10w30**

Both the SAE ratings have same base number meaning both the engine oils will perform the same at operating temperatures. The number 30 indicates the thickness of the oil when it reaches operating temperatures. Both the oils have similar viscosity at 100 degrees Celsius but 5w30 grade oil will thicken less than 10w30 grade oil in cold climate. This means 5w30 grade oil will flow effectively in low temperatures, whereas 10w30 oil will flow effectively in high temperatures because of the smaller temperature window. 5w30 oil gets thin enough when cold to provide adequate engine lubrication.

However the table at the end of article show something different which has me confused.

Can anyone help in this regard and resolve my confusion between 5w30 and 10w30 viscosity at engine working temperature
