Salam everyone,I have a mehran 2015 model. I wanted to move to liqui moli or zic or other good engine oil brands. After thoroughly reading different forums here i came to know that for these flat tappet cars oil with sg specification is recommended and sm is harmful. So i decided to stick with suzuki genuine oil sg. I went to suzuki workshop for oil change.. There they put sgo sm in mehran. I told the person there that sg is recommended but he said "ab wo nai ata. Ab yehi dalta hai."
My question is should i continue with sgo sm or move to liqui moli?
Any other good suggestions will also be appreciated.
Car mileage is 10,000 km
Suzuki only recommends two viscosities for engine oil
10w-40 and 20w-50SG or SH grade.
Kixx has older versions available in 10w-40.
However, ZIC M 15w-40 is SJ Grade (New name is ZIC X3 15w-40 Red Box) and could be ideal for Mehrans & Cultus.
Also Suzuki Engines works good on Mineral oils.So no need to spend money by feeding them Synthetics.
liqui moly 10w40
Use Suzuki SG oil. The mechanics don't know about the details so don't fall for what they say. Just use SG oil.
