Engine oil viscosity and grade change suggestion in GLI 10

I have just bought a GLI 10 3 months back 200k km run. It was giving a very handsome avg of 16 on Long and atleast 12 in city easily.
Zic 20.50 api Sm synthetic was prev used engine oil. At the time of oil change, almost 300 to 400 ml was short. I changed my brand from Zic to Mobil special 20.50 api sg. Due to less information about oil grades and viscosity, i have not noted the Mobil Special viscosity and grades. I change oil brand due to the fact that Zic is being produced locally in Pakistan ( generally heared in Multan Market) and it engine consumed oil. Now i have switched to Mobil Special api sg 20.50 which is non synthetic. Now driven almost 1300 km on this. Fuel avg down from 1 to 1.5 km per liter. Car is also a little heavy.
I wanted to take suggestion as what should be next the step? Whether i should stick to this mobil special api sg 20.50? Or should go back to Zic synthetic 20.50 api sm on next change? Or should i use 20.50 synthetic api sn of any reputed brand??
also post pros and cons of each option.
Remember wheather is very hot in multan so thats why less than 50 grade might be unfit for engine

Bro, as a rule of thumb, engine oil brands and grades k sath zyada chaeer chaar nai karni chaheye!
And.. Whether local or imported, oil must be genuine! At any cost!
If one is not comfortable with Zic, then Shell, Mobil and Eneos are also excellent options.
Select any of them, but then stick to it for some period of time. Condition is the same that oil must be genuine!
Regarding oil grades, as per oil guide ( https://www.pakwheels.com/blog/oil-guide/ ), for age of vehicles 05-13 years, 10W-40 is recommended and for age of vehicles more than 13 years, 20W-50 is recommended.
Select oil viscosity according to your vehicles' age. Go to the market and buy genuine engine oil of any company you like, and use it.
And.. I would advise you to use latest api grading.
You have been using mobil 20.50 api sg. sg grade is obsolete! Do not use it!

SJ, SL, SM and SN are current grades, and SN being the latest!
Switch to SN, but not below SM.

Api sg oil lacks friction reduction additives api Sm/sn are fuel ecoomy based oil dont use amy other than api sn/sm other wise high zddp in older grade oil will kill cat con of your car also20w-50 is to thick for your engine

Stick to the ZIC.
Or go for Kixx 5W50.

Bro i change the brand due to the fact that it was consuming 300to400ml. Zic k baray main zara rumors hain k wo original nahe araha or Pakistani local ban raha hai thats why it is less efficient. So these are the reasons to change oil. However aik ghalti ye hui k latest grades jesa k Api Sn choose nahe kiya. Avg of fuel also reduced due to this reason i think. So my point is
1. Now api sg poured for this change.should i move to 20.50api sn/sm for next change? Or should i move to 15-40 or 10-40 api sn/sm ( considering my car consumed oil almost 300-400 ml in last spell. Although i did 3300 km on last oil so that may be reason for oil consumption as multan is quite hot so mechanics recomend oil change at 2700-3000km ). Please suggest taking such situation in mind. 20-50 api sn is not available in shell mobil zic etc.... which brand thwn u recomend and also which grade 20-50 or 10-40?? Will this recomendations adres my reservations regarding oil consumption? Looking for a solid reply dear.

Will not it effect engine health as already 20-50 is being used almost 20k-30k km before?i dont know the exact reason of oil consumption. It may be due to over ran (3300km) or may be not genuine oil of zic. Plz sugest taking such points in mind.

No matter how hot multan is temperature of your engine stays between 90-100C because it is a water cooled engine

So you thoroughly analyzed my car condition bro. Which grade oil will be best for next oil change which should not be consumed by engine and should revert the engine to previous fuel avg efficiency. Please guide

Dear fellow. As per you cars condition u should use Mobil super 1000 15w-40. Inshallah ur problem will be solve. Try this and change first oil at 2000km second at 3000km and than change a 3500 every time. Never use Zic oil as I've previously recommend it to one of our fellow. 2 reasons not to use Zic oils are.
1: These oils are being blend in shekhupura since Dec 2016
2: Max amnt of fake oils are being packed in packing of Zic . take ur example. The first oil u pour was 20w-50 just of name. Maybe 5w-30 was packed in that box.

Mobil super 1000 15w-40 comes in just one grade. Always remember to chose SN grade. If u want avg of car than chose SN + ILSAC GF5

What if engine start consuming this oil too?? And secondly this one is mineral oil. Should not we use synthetic?? What if we use 15w-40 api sn synthetic of any good brand??

Brother inshallah ur car will not consume this oil. But if it will than the last option is to use oil additive in it. That's why I've said u to pour out first oil at 2000km. If ur car do not consume the oil. Than u should drive the oil to 3000km on next oil change and if after it do not reduce that shift to 10w-40. As u are saying of synthetic oil, as ur cars condition that it reduces oil u should not use such oil that last up to 9000km. U should use mineral now a days.

Can u do me a favor. Start ur car an pull out ur car oil stick and look that whether there is any smoke. If there isn't than smell it and tell me. If there is smell like petrol and other compounds than the oil which u are using will also be reduce.

Just checked it.
No smoke at all. Oil is full no reduction in it and run almost 1600km on this changed oil Mobil special 20w50 api sg. However a bit of typical used mobil oil smell is there on stick.

Now advise me comprehensively so to avoid experiments and use the required grade n viscosity oil.
