Engine overhaul of Margalla

Guys
Pls suggest me someone who can overhaul
my engine completely as its eating mob oil
and also gives dhouhaan when the accelerator
is pressed hard.

its a 1000CC so 3 piston one...

Pls give me estimated cost of its overhaul..

My own mechanic says he will do it for 12k
with everything new inside.

well a good overhaul in khi takes 18-23k depending upon the engine condition with almost all new internals be it 3 cylinder or 4 cylinder suzuki,charade,nissan

what i will suggest you to do is buy all parts yourself and ask your mechanic to put away the old parts aside so that u know all the things you have bought are placed inside your engine! (but if you think your mechanic is a honest man n wont do nething such as that den just go ahead with the overhaul)

as for 12k your mechanic suggesting you he most probly gona replace things that are most needed! leaving out few things as they wont be so worn out!

so it will depends on how weak your engine really is!

I strongly reccomend to to you to go to a PROPER shop with PROPER tools. IT is NOT at all reccomended to get an engine overhauled from road side mechanics or the ones who sit on the floor with out proper tools or the knowledge.

Engine is a precision machine and should be overhauled from a proper shop. I reccomend Autoclub in I-10 or the Suzuki Dealer in I-9

Asif bhai a colleague did complete overhaul of a cultus engine. he spent around 25 000 rupees although he is not a big spender but he had no choice.

ones...new rings...kharadeyay se sleeves dalwae ga

mobil oil etc...polising bhe kare ga...

an uncle got engine overhaul

in 20k of margalla too here...so i know

rates...he told me that he will just take

labor of 1500 - 2000 only....while mechanics

here charges like 4000 to 5000 for this job

Thats what he told me..i dont know how much

labor charges mechanics charges for engine

he told me it will take 3 days

Hmm last summers i paid 9000 for just Rings/Head surface and head gaskit with new kit of other gaskits for my charade

Make sure he changes what ever is going to fail like Oil Pump/Water Body/Timing Belt/Timing bearing.

Head main prob ho tu us ko surface karwa ley and double head gaskit na dal dey.

Valve job is must agar u want good consumption and pickup on CNG so that had to be done as well.

Looking like hard in 12000 i feel around 16 tak hojana chaheya

all now packings .. gasket ..

i think im getting this done cheaper coz he is not charging

much labor...am i right?

AsifCharade kia rawalpindi may parts sastay hain jo 12000 may engine bunjaiye ga sedan ka khair mainay karachi may charade 89 ka engine bunwaiya hai 2 week phelay labour 3000 de hai or parts or lait machine ka work khud karwaiya hai magar 27000 ka kharcha aiya hai sab orignal parts dailay hain 12000 may sedan ka engine hosakhta hai pistion ring mean bigun oil pump wagara he change karay .dost nay 1 month phelay suzuki fx ka engine bunwaiya tha us par 10500 ka kharcha agaya tha

i did overhaul ov khyber 99 8 months back.
it costed 19000 RS tht time.
inflation rate is here so 12000 is obviously got sumfing fishy..
no body gives discount from his own pocket dude.
so chk out other mechs aswell ...IF UR GOIN FOR A CPMPLETE OVERHAUL...

Waisa u can ask ur mechanic to do it over the weekend so u can see what he is doing.

a brotherly advise from my side rest is your sweet will.

its not possiable that he changes all the internal with new one and charge you just 12000/=

in 12000 it possaible that he will only change the rings and gasket etc not the whole engine

aj kal complete overhaul ka rate with all new orignal internal ha 25000/= to 28000/=

just a brotherly advise pls took some more quotations from some other machnices

Engine Valves in Head, Valves Seals, Valve Gudies, HeadSurfacing, Head Bansaries. , Ask him to change these as well.

i hve margala 95 and got it overhauld in 06 and nw it is in gr8 condition

dn knw da name of dat person bt the shop is in mareer chowk

and bro ur mechanic is surely deceivn u coz i thnk dey remake the piston as woh ghis jate han

and my expense overall in 06 wz 17k and bhai waseem autos se margala ka genuine japani gasket e 1500 ka milta ha

chinese 400 ka ha

nw ur option and no japenese pistons are here

seriously my driver and me bought all parts and samne beeth k lagwae

still 17k tha

i thnk dn try to save money coz if u will not buy genniue parts and try to buy cheap ones engine will no go far

now ur choice....
