The reason i am swapping engine is because 3 months back i went to local mechanic for engine checkup as it was taking a bit longer time to start that too occasionally. the mechanic diagnosed the problem with two faulty tappets, which he adjusted by grinding them a bit and then adjustment. after that i started noticing that my engine oil was dropping in very low quantity but there was no oil leak (100% sure its burning) then 4 days back i went to nathiagali for trip...there i noticed that on steep slopes my
car was unable to climb in 2nd gear but in 1st gear.....later when i reached back home i noticed that there was considerable amount i.e 1/6 of dipstick engine oil level drop. i again showed it to mechanic and he
said my engine is weak. i was previously using 10 w 40 zic oil so i imediatly changed to 20 w 50 zic........plus the mechanic also pointed out the air blow coming out of dipstick hole when it was removed for checking oil level.......after changing engine oil i drove from abbottabad to nowshera but this time it didn't drop any engine oil.....my basic question now is that my engine is not giving any
blue/black/blue smoke, plus starting in one click........is it engine overhaul case or should i go to a toyota workshop for complete checkup??? pl guide
