Keep observing everything and if everything is fine then switch to 5W20/5W30 which is the recommended viscosity. Also do change all the fluids, mtf/atf, psf, bleed the brakes and clutch and coolant.

If you're a diy person you can do these yourself as it's actually pretty easy.

what are readings wet & dry? just 1 step reading does not help determine the actual issue.

if anything is less then 150 psi wet you need engine overhaul., am sure your mechanic does not have access to compression value (compression ratio) for the engine.

ok here is the conclusion
Tappet cover seal (Jane in desi words) and VTEC seal were the real culprits.

Rest everything is fine

NOTE: If any engine is consuming oil there must be oil and melted plastic like debris on plugs, Your plugs couldn't be clean and dry if Engine is consuming oil. My plugs were totally clean and dry though these were just counterfeit so I bought and replaced these with recommended ones.

I got my plugs and seals replaced and throttle body serviced
ATF and Steering fluid changed

130psi is too low, a good number for the R18 is 150-170. I bet you the compression tester was faulty. Do a wet test. Do you have a stable idle speed?

Yes the same thing is said by one of my friend as well that compression test was not done properly and wet is not done at all

On cold start like in the morning it starts easily without any smoke and at about 1300 - 1500 RPM and then within a minute as car warms up the RPM gets stable at about 700-800 RPM

My car now is 3450 KMs since I changed oil
Currently I don't see any reduction in oil as dipstick is full up to this mark in the image

So it does not show any reduction may be very minor and unnoticeable which I will check once I bleed it.

Question is shall I use it till 5000KMs?
and what grade engine oil you suggest next 10W40 or 10W30?

continue using for 5000 kms please The civic 2008 uses engine oil 5W-30 or 10W30 a genuine product brand from known shop will be better

I think 10/40 would be just fine.

The recommended viscosity is 5W30 so you'll eventually want to shift to 5W30. Keep using 10W40 for 5-6k kms and pour in 5W30. If you're still somewhat skeptical then shift to 10w30 in the next oil change and eventually move to 5W30.

Behtreen scene, keep using the same oil till 5000kms. Check periodically for abnormal oil reduction. You can use 10w40, 10w30 or 5w30. Honda recommends 5w30, but the other oil grades are fine too. 10w30 and 5w30 are the same viscosity once the engine warms up.

I use 10w40 in my car, works fine.

What should I pour in now?
I am thinking about 10W30

May be original Honda
or Total , Zic, Kixx
or maybe 5W30

Please tell me what do you suggest

I'd say go for 5W30. Go for Total, Caltex or Honda.
