Engine replacemenr for bike

i have a bike honda mb100 it has got a 2 stroke engine , the bike is very old now , i want to replace its engine to 4 stroke so i need some information that what type of engine can be installed on the bike and where i can get engine in karachi

i know that suzuki and yamaha started replacin old two stroke motorcycles engine in to new four stroke engine but, i dont know that honda started replacing engines of bikes if someone knows about the engines then plz reply

nah this bike is very old now iam asking 15000 rupees for it but no luck so i want to change its engine to 4 stroke

by the way the bike has a very nice road grip and its height is also good

U may put cd 70 engine it requried very little changing

but the bike is huge as honda cg125
can 125 engine installed on this bike

I would like to know why are you wanting to change the engine. Engine changes are very costly and painful. You may also have to change gearbox if you change engine.

I have advice. Just keep this bike as it is and ride till it finally dies. I know Two - Stroke Motors very well and I know they are very reliable and produce a lot of power but are a bit low on efficiency.

yes ur right this bike is pretty good but its engine is giving problem now thats why i want to change its engine i was selling it i told u before but no luck people say that iam asking too much then i bought honda cd 70 but cd 70 has no road grip

What Problem is it giving exactly and to be frank maybe you are asking a lot for it

I dont think the bike can be stabe with a 125cc engine.I amybe wrong here.Why don't u rebore the engine to 125cc.See if ur mechanic can do it.

i dont think that it can withstand a 125cc...try the yamaha junoon 100cc engine...plus double check with a good mechanic

well it dont run fast , plus two strokes motorcycles r goin to be banned by government of Pakistan thats why

Engine swaps in these bikes should not be difficult. A tubular frame support can be added at the front to accomodate a 125 engine.

Well i dont see pakistan gov banning two stroke motorcycle in next 5 years so its better you should rebuild this engine waisa bhi 2 stroke engine gives better performance as compare to 4 stroke.

yes ur right 2 stroke r better than 4 stroke but they sound too much my bike sound is similar as kawasaki gto 125

Swapping of engine in this bike would be quite dificult as its chassis & engine shape is diffrent from other bikes available here in pakistan. This bike is quite heavy in weight & u would be required minimum 125 CC engien to run this & only four stroke engine available in market would be from CG 125 or its copy from chinese manufacturer so its better to build its original engine & run it stock.

and if u want to put some 4 strok engine...think about Quinqi four strok 100cc engine...coz Junoon or other 100cc four strok will cost u more..

and abt 70cc...naa...i dun think that 70cc can do better job for it...its old model..thts why...good heavy japaness frame like old Yamas and Suzus..

stick with your bike, just find a good mechenic and rebuilt the engine. it will be much cheaper and reliable
and as someone said....drive it untill it die

wll guys thanks for all ur advise but i went to the mechanic and he made following changes in the engine

replace cluch box and its plates with its gear
install a new coil on it
install a more precise balancing gear
change it carburator with cd 70 to give better average
change its piston and replace with a bigger piston

the mechanic who done all these stuff is my friend he is still testin the bike he told me that bike sound is totally different from before .. he is still keeping the bike till its running is finished because he change its piston..

i also have two 70cc motorcycles at my house .. but this bike havent start for at least 8 months because i was using my other bike

now iam doing a little experiment on it....
