Engine runs faster than car

I am feeling for last many weeks that one i push the race pedal of the car to increase the speed, the speed does not increase but engine starts running faster and speed remains the same. I wonder what is this problem ? The car is Suzuki Cultus 2002 model. Plz help me understand this issue. Thanks.

Clutch plates are gone.

Check the clutch pedal, might need adjustment. If not, then clutch will need to be replaced.
