Engine Shutting off/Starting Issue (Toyota Altis 1.6 2019)

Sallam everyone,

I own a 2019 model Toyota Altis 1.6 2019 model. Its 20000kms driven and I bought it an year ago while it was at 10000kms. I am 100% sure that the mileage is genuine as per different parameters and check points.

Issue 1:
Last year October 2020, while a casual drive at a constant speed of 40km/h, the engine shut off. All electronics were on, lights, infotainment system etc. Took it to Toyota Ravi motors for 10000kms maintenance in October 2020. They changed the fuel pump under warranty as there was a known manufacturing problem in these models. I told them the issue I faced of engine shutting down and they related it with the fuel pump.

This year in the past 4 months, I faced this issue 3-4 times. I took the car to Toyota Islamabad and they scanned the car, test drive, took the fuel pump out, checked everything and couldn't find any problem.

Issue 2:
This happened to me 3-4 times that when I cold start the car even if it parked for multiple days, the radiator fan switches on when I switch on the ignition, then further, the car self starter does kick in, but the engine wont start. Then I had to switch off the ignition and start again.

Can anyone help me with this?
Toyota Islamabad asked me if the car had any tracker or security system installed previously. But unfortunately that I don't know.
There is woofer and sound amplifier installed by the previous owner.
I installed new Battery last year which is still fine.
No other addons or security alarms etc

Sounds like an ECU problem.
My XLi 2012 shutdown once while taking off from a signal. It was showing the same symptom i.e., radiator fan was turning on but engine not starting.

what should have caused it?
and what is the solution? Should change this? Repair? Car is out of warranty now

Get the amplifier’s wiring checked first. maybe it is drawing current when car is parked

ok and what about while car is running. I mean the problem that engine shuts down

that can be anything but start your diagnosis with after market parts then get the ecu etc checked

Is the check engine light on?
Maybe you are having ect - engine coolant temperature sensor problem because radiator fan depends on it. And if its getting wrong data, it may also not let your car start.
Scan the car with obd2 scanner

I got the same problem back in days when i had a corolla.
It was the EFI relay problem in my case but both efi and Radiator Fan relay can cause the same issue which you telling that cars doesn't start and Radiator Fan runs all time.

But you also check your immobilizer of cars that is it unlocking your car properly as if it aftermarket product so it could also be the culprit in that case. If it company's OEM immobilizer so i don't think that it would act like this.

When i checked my car by mechanic he checked first the immobilizer which was aftermarket but was working well so he changed the ECu relay which are placed near the battery side in the bonnet. You can also check it by yourself that open ignition switch and see when that problem came the radiator fan turns on on full speed so press those relays you would get the culprit by pressing those

Thank you so much. I will check this myself and if not then will take the car to Toyota on Saturday and will post updates for rest of the forum. Also there is no after market immobilizer installed. But about the tracker system installed or not, that I am not sure.
But do you think that this is causing the engine to shut down while car is running? The radiator fan kicking on while cold start or car shutting down while running, happens once in a blue moon.

No the check engine light is not on.
Toyota Islamabad checked with scanner and they found 0 faults.
