Engine sound changed after V belt replacement - 2SZ (Vitz)

Hi,

Recently V belt (Vitz 2008 2SZ) was replaced due to previous one worn out completely. Now I am hearing increase engine sound, only while you pull the car or you can say when load is applied on the engine. Sound is like gurrana (to describe in the best possible way).

Mechanic has already check the tension, its neither lose nor too tight. He said it will get normal with the usage as the belt sets in.

Is there anything more which I should look at, like the tensioner.

Take the belt off and spin tensioner by hand to see if it is noisy. The spin other items like alternator etc that are driven by the belt to identify the noisy one.

It's normal for a new v belt as the belt flaps continuously on load and it produces ghurr noise it will lsettle on its own.
If not then use only Bando belts they have less tendency of belt flap

Yes we have a plan to do that, currently waiting for the belt - sets in.

You should check the rotating elements sooner than later. If the noisy bearing decides to seize up there will be additional unwanted damage.

If the belt is noisy, you don't have to wait for it to bed in. Just throw water on the belt while it is running. If the belt is noisy, the noise will go away for a few minutes.

No there is no noise in the belt. I understand we throw some water just to check if sound vanishes or not, its not the case.

Yes I will take it. Just to clarify a bit more, sound is always normal upon start, idle during steady running. That gurrana is only coming when engine pulls the car. And there was no such gurrana before the belt change. Even then your concern is always valid to avoid any unwanted damage.
