Engine sounds weird when its cold and in gear civic 8th gen

Aoa brothers i bought a honda civic 8th generation which is my first car ever. I'm facing an issue. Whenever its cold and i start the car and not properly warms up the engine and put in gear it makes too much sound. I don't know what is wrong with it as it was not her behaviour when i bought her. I changed the atf month ago. Is that the reason or somethings wrong with it?
2: it engine heavily jerks when parked on a ramp and you put in R or D and do not if you use the hand brake first before putting it into R.
Its Automatic Transmission
Please guide me as i lost my sleeps because of it.

Bro, nothing to worry about. This is a common issue in 8th Gen Civic. I've had it in my car as well. You just need to replace the Tensioner (ad pulley & belt most likely) and the problem will be gone. This issue only occurs during cold state i.e when the car is warm it doesn't make that noise so that is 100% tensioner..Just get it replaced and everything will be alright. Also, do not go for kabli. Buy original from Honda. It'll last for a long time.

no problem bro, the second issue is most likely due to broken oil mount. I do not exactly remember the prices. I think tensioner was somewhere around 15k (not too sure) i did buy belt as well ..Mount was i think 12.5K. Just call Honda Walton Store and they'll confirm prices...They have most likely raised prices as well due to currency devaluation as i bought these items almost 1.5 year ago.

Relax brother! The first issue is the notorious auto tensioner. A new original Honda one will set you back around 15K.

As for the second one it could be the engine mount. It's the one on the left side below the power steering reservoir. Many varieties available in the market starting from 5K from copies to around 15K for original Honda part.

At first i thought its engine mount issue but its not some mechanic told me your engine mount is in perfect condition. If you guys have a good and economical mechanic in lahore please suggest me because I'm doing a job and already told you this is my first car. I do live in model town lahore.

Are you talking about the timing tensioner? I just searched on pakwheels... worth around 6k. Is that good if i drive carefully after changing with new one?

Mate dont you worry. First car being 8th gen must be putting you in panic mode. There are alot of helpful guys here. But on top of everything do not just goto ANY mechanic. Also read and study alot about the problem so whrn you goto mechanic you already know what should be done

Thats what i want to say because shortage of cash as a job holder always does and mechanics are looting now a days if you dont know whats actually wrong with your car. Count me in that group cox I'm short of sleep just because of a car..

Yes, it's the timing tensioner or the auto tensioner as it is called. Genuine Honda part is around 15K. You can some cash buy going for a used part. You can also opt for a Thai copy but my experience isn't good with inexpensive parts so i won't recommend.

Once replaced, you can drive in any way you like. Tensioner goes bad by luck also . Yeah! Seriously! One fellow 8th gen civic owner is still on his original tensioner. And I've replaced mine twice.

AARGGGHHH, I have the same issue with my car, so happy that this issue is identified by fellow 8th gen owners. I was reading on these vibrations when engaging the gear on cold start and the internet mostly says it a CV joint issue. Now thats really bad news. I know that my tensioner is bad and I will be getting it replaced.

I think the new OEM tensioners is now for around 20k! wow! Can anyone confirm the cost?

If I want to choose between NEW china/korean VS kabli USED genuine piece, which one should I go for, and why?

brother go for genuine only. I have replaced china one and now i am regretting on my decision and I will replaced it with genuine in the coming month after getting salary.
