Engine swap 4G13 to

Dear All,
Just thinking... is is possible to swap 4G13 (one in 1300cc lancer) with 4G63 (one in galant, 2000cc i think)
and wat is the amount of modifications reqiored... any major??

tried some quick searching... there ws some discussions of swapping 4G13 with 4G18 (came in protons i guess)...

anyways... i have 97 lancer with 4G13 auto tranny... engine in good condition but just thinking may be some time in future coz with 1300cc car is lil underpowered... with 2000cc power to weight ratio will be much better and ll give plenty of power even with auto tranny...

4G93 1.8 will be an economical option without any major alterations. There is one available in pindi

thanks for the suggestion... ll try n have a look at it... i believe this one is SOHC...
any idea about its parts availibility... at bao muhala i came accross 4G13s mostly...
by the way i m the same person working in TP, met you at kkool's (rizwan bhai) shop....

i ws reading somewhere that there is no major alteration for 4G63 also, even same tranny works...

4G63 would need alot of Fabrication bro and it would be too expensive to import ! Try getting the 4G18 or the Galant engine ! BTw, a galant engine is lying around in Ahata Mithu Khan in Pindi !

which galant engine are you talking about, i think 4G63 came in galants...
got any idea of parts availibility of 4G18... how much power that one can give... is this the same in 1.6 lancers

pls if anyone can tell me will changing gear box ll help... i dont wana go to manual but an auto gear box which is more towards performance... any idea of price tag of gear box for 4G series...

2000 galant 1.8 4G93 gdi is gud option....i ve 2005 lancer 1.6 4G18 n dont go for 1.6 not much diff from 4G13

went to pindi to today to check that 1.8 engine... couldnt get a chance to have a look at it
it ws fuel injected... n the person had a look at my car n said he ll take 45k with all work done ... engine n transmission (auto) as well...
there were also 1.3 fuel injected engines with transmissions at another shop and they were available for 30k...
an auto gear box for lancer ws for 12k

can anyone comment on prices... seems a bit higher to me...

A kabli parts shop's owner had offered me his services here in mltan. he said he can arrange the engine you want from peshawer.
few months back he asked 18,000 for 1.3
and 33,000 for 2000cc diesel . with out labour
these prices were with out labour. engines are not available in mltan you have to place the order and they arrange it from lahore or peshawer.
i can guess the prices yo got are at higher side. as i have noticed that lancer and nissan snny engines are cheaper then corolla
