Engine Swap Corolla 76 Coupe recondition 79

Guys & Gurus,

I need a suggestion, I have Toyota Corolla 76 recondition 79 Model with toyota 4k engine installed in it.

I want to change that carburetor engine into EFI engine with gear for better fuel economy and power as-well. but i dont want to do too much of alteration in the engine bay, so which engine would be the best option to swap with lil bit of alteration or no alteration at all.

I think it will be really hard to find an engine that would fit in your car without alteration. If u upgrade the gear/transmission then there is fair a chance that you will have to cut the floor and the gear opening to fix the new transmission.

My suggestion would be to overhaul your own 4k engine. Check this link it has all possible details of upgrading your 4k engine.
