Engine swap for Charade 91?

hi guys,

need some info on the possible swaps for the 91(anda shape:p) charade...

i know ppl here have fitted h22 n stuff...i need the best possible swap... since it has to be a non turbo .... so something that fits in without whole lot of cutting n chopping....and gives maximum power.... while not being too heavy for the suspension n all...it will be a daily driven car...

4-afe... or 4-age or anyother?

ahaan ok....but IF 4afe and 4age are of same size...wouldnt 4age be a better option ....since its faster.... i am not sure if they are of same size or not:P.....

and would 4e-fte fit in?.... i know its a turbo

i know the 4age is 160hp.....

and 4efte is 135hp ....if it fits ?

well 1st of all 4AGE and 4AFE is all different thing.....belongs to one family but its almost different...!
4AFE being naroow angle Twin cam built for econo-power purpose...while 4AGE is full high revving thing....! can be used for a daily driver but..its 4AGE
well i suggest to use either 4EFTE for fast and good car or 4AFE.....!
4AGE will left no space in engine room....!making it uncomfortable.....
4EFTE..(y)...i think its gonna be the best or 4AFE for econo power stuff!

i think levin here has got 4age 20v in his gtti..... saw his car's pictures in one of his posts....and it does look a tight fit..as u said..so may be not for daily driving...(may be wrong)

between... 4afe....and 4efte.... can some1 plzz mention the specs for both of them....

and also plzz if some1 knows....at what price are these(4afe...4age...4efte) available in pakistan.....

well Hash4u have had 4AGE 20V ST in his GTti 2 door Anda...
Levin have same engine in his Indus Corolla AE100...!

4AFE=1.6L EFi engine
2 Versions came in 4AFE.....1st one used in EE90's are rated around 102Hp while new one having lining on its tapper cover are rated @ 115hp....!
nice econo-power engine used in all popular 1.6 Gli Indus Corolla...!

4E-FTE:-1.3L Efi Engine With FF Turbo
rated at 135hp stock on FF turbo........used in EP82 Starlet GT's and later.......

4AGE:- 1.6L engine........
there comes many versions of 4AGE.....1st one comes having 16V and Single Throttle...........in AE101 Corolla/Levin/SPrinter....4AGE 20V ST comes while 4AGE 20V BT comes in AE110 Corolla/Sprinter/Trueno...........
20V ST(Silver Top) rated @160HP...
20V ST(Black Top) rated @ 165Hp..
these are NA engines comes in Corolla GT or Levin/Sprinter GT versions.....!

what about CB80...u forget the GTti's orignal gem......1.0L with FF Turbo.....Stock rated @ 100hp........Twin Cam 12V engine on 3 Cyl...
Let me tell u that among 4AFE ,4EFTE and 4AGE.....
4AGE is wide angle Twin cam..while others are narrow angle twin cams......4AGE's are specially designed for Toyota's Racing kinda cars....

Prices for low mileage 4afe ....4age and 4efte?

low mileage= 30---40k kms

well bhai as i am in khi...so rates differ from city to city...
in khi
CB70-CB80 Twin Cam 12V Turbo cost around 25K.......!
4AFE was around 35-40K
4EFTE was around 40-50K.......
4AGE 20V Bt 50K....
well in isb check prices....it may differ....!
about low milage so its on you....check motor...well no one can determine the exact milage but from condition of internals...u can have an approx idea how much its used......!

I would suggest 4A-FE cause its economic and believe me..its a beast especially if its in a charade wo bhi anda

U can c 4 urself dats it fits easily in the engine bay without alterig or cutting anything..If u r seriously interested in engine swapping wid 4A-FE, 4E-FE or 4AGE...mail me. I can arrange it wid da help of some special frends

naveed bhai casper said this coz there is a guy here in pesh with 4efe with some piston and some little mods smokeing 20v's and SOHC and few other's but i say he use NOs few time!!!!
