Engine Swap for Corolla 2009-10

does engine swap for Corolla 2009-10 is feasible instead of engine overhaul. i have a vehicle which has done more than 200,000 km. and now started to decrease engine oil. Will engine swap lower down its market value or not?

you will get the engine which will not be sure k kitna chalay.
better to overhaul it. it has 2nzfe if 1.3 . so better overhaul it and put new ring pistons with new crank or grand to new number.

in our country people need JENYAaaan thing. either its kachra but they need JENYAN paint JENYAaaan engine JENYAaaan body either it is scrap.

so you can overhaul it will not effect the market value also and it can go for 3 4 lac km easily if you keep changing oil on time

Parts are easily available. Go for Engine rebuilt. BTW in which city you are located?

Nowadays most illiterate mechanics are Lazy but google/mobile/keyboard/ YouTube warriors , these Kaam chor have never learnt something from their sincere Ustaad G and now rely on YouTube videos so they will suggest you to swap for easy way.

Brother do your home work before recession. Survey Ur market and then decide accordingly. Overhauling can be done but if u find an experienced person. Most of ustad prefer swap then overhauling, because of easily availablity of engines in reasonable price. Nowadays situation is different. Due to doller price hike and tabdeeli imported engine are costly. In my opinion swap is good option if firstly you should sell Ur current engine yourself in right price and also workout new for swap. If overhaul is plan then also survey full estimate.

Get your engine inspected like compression test should be done. And then arrange at least 100k with you while attempting the rebuild /swap. Get the engine opened up, once its opened up bore should be inspected and damages and wear should be inspected. Incase if bore size is opened too much and head is also deformed, valve seats weared too much and crank already running on 25 or 50 then choose a Japanese assembly for a swap.

But if everything is on standard and bore just one step up, seats good so add new valves get the face done, new con rod bearings, oil pump & water pump. And it will be a successful overhaul /rebuild.
