Engine Swap For Cultus!

Hey !! i want swap my cultus engine with 1.3 engine so i want to ask which one shud i buy ?? im going bilal gung tomorrow to chk the prices but which engine shud i consider ??
1.3 margalla engine which is carburator ? or
1.3 baleno engine which is efi
which engine will come bolt on for my cutlus ? as i dont want any alterations so plz suggest me !!

I heard the Baleno's EFI gives problems with CNG

Definitly NOT the margalla engine
nowadays there are alot of 16 valve carbed g13a in bilal gujnj. Try to get hold of them. And dont forget to mention the prices here!

u can surely fits Margalla's engine in your cultus
as i think both of these cars have same mechenical , but diff is that of engine.

as the initial model of margalla i.e sedan which comes in 90,91 have same engine which is now in cultus and then they change it to 1.3 bcos margalla's body is heavier then cultus.
it will give u good accelration bcos cultus body is lighter than margalla but if baleno's engine can fit in your cultus then it will rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT why u are changing your car's engine , due to ac performence or something else!

i suggest Margalla 1.3L G13B for normal use.....
if you wan't some heavy motor....ask 1st for G13BB Baleno one with carb and if won't find then G13BB Efi one....its a good engine......

Well, dont go for the Margallas ... too slugish.

Consider going for 1.6L instead and get a G16A carby from the Vitara.

If you are doing this for PERFORMANCE, then its G13B DOHC only ... and 2nd choice is this G16B. Thats it ... forget the others.

G16B should be bolt on ... as far as I know it is. If you are getting one make sure to get it with ECU n wiring so that you dont have much problems with that.

A G16B will get your front a bit heavy, so do watch that front suspension ... might wana replace it with atleast a Margalla setup (will bolt on since Margalla n Cultus are same cars, Sedan and Hatchback respectively).

You wont find a G13B in lahore & you wont find a G16A in lahore too

You are left with G13A, G13BB and G16B

G16B would make the biggest dent in your pocket and you will be having alot of troubles relating to transmission and suspension. It is a heavy engine for the cultus body.

You are then left with G13BB and G13A. As I have heard market is flooded with G13A which are carbed engines which will make your life easier. PLus they are 16 vavle engine rated around 70-80 hp. My guess is that they will cost least.

In the end a 1300cc engine would be best suited for you preferably G13A. Yes G13B is a monster but you wont find it anywhere.

And yes let me tell you that which ever engine you choose, you will be facing problems every now and then. My friend has a 1300cc engine swapped in his car. His cultus is very famous here in lahore. Simple say mods hai aur har dosray din us ki gari mein koi masla hota hai. Maheenay mein 1/2 haftay woh workshop mein rehti hai

Go for a Brand New M13A..... iT won't give you trouble and you can even get a customized CNG for iT...!

btw:- It also has some kick....!! And in a Cultus Power to Weight Ratio wise.... iT would do great...

Take My advice... iT might cost you a bit more... But try to get the Suzuki guys working on iT... I mean tell them to Install, They would do it properly and would ensure the Thing Works.... At Times a swap can become a sw*ne when things just dont work.....

Edit (by me) :- M13A is the replacement block for G13B TwinCam 16v, so rest asure... you would have a taste of the legend if you get that..!
