Engine Swap from Toyota 4efte to Vits VVTI 1000cc Engine

Dear All,

I've buy charade 1989 model with toyota 4efte stock setup installed (Non-Turbo). My regular running is not that much like in a month i drove my car around 3,4 times whenever family goes for outing. I am bit confused regarding the setup like its fuel efficiency, its other maintains like is it OK if i use that engine as a regular engine?

I buy it because i wanna something sporty and fast.

So one of my friend advice me about Toyota Vits Engine as its a reliable and good in fuel efficiency and its other small maintains like AC setup, engine oil etc is far easier and better then toyota 4efte setup. So i wanna know that now aday when prices of everything is going up, how much toyota vits engine gonna cost me..and how much toyota 4efte cost rightnow.

4efte comes ONLY with turbo, non turbo variant was known as 4efe, not 4efte.
You want power? Tell your friend that vitz's 1000cc engine produces half of the power that a 4efte does and it's no way near being a powerful engine.

Thanks for the suggestion brother.. What i wanna know is the difference between 4efte and vitz engine fuel efficiency and its mileage.. and what are the cost now adays.

4efte is old and scarce. Better go for 1nzfe in charade to get good power and fuel economy.

Clear up which vitz engine you are talking about 1st generation had 1szfe 4 cylinder & 2nd generation vitz had 3 cylinder 1krfe engine !!!

You have a 4efe which is 1.3L non turbo the t in 4efte stands for turbo !!
& I don't want to discourage you but if you want an sporty car project something like that will be a lil expensive & some setups can't be driven daily
Yes you can install a turbo on the stock engine you have by modifying a bit !!

I'll tell you two statements and you'll have an idea about where this modification and sports car thingy revolves around.

1) Fast/cheap/reliable, pick any two!
2) Speed costs money how fast you want to go?

With that being said, if you're looking for an economical runner, your current 4efe is not uneconomical. It's just that perhaps it's your first car and you can't seem to figure out how a usual running of a car should cost you. Do not go for experiments you have no idea about, you'll end up wasting money without meeting the purpose you're lookin for.
