Same is the case with GA15DE saqib bhai. Those engines also need to be scanned and diagnosed after swap and for them as well that plug is needed. I know the wires for GA15DE ECU's, but there another problem with QG18DE is that its wiring diagrams are scarce like anything on the internet and I have not come across any of them, that is so discouraging

But I am feeling now that the @ghuncha thread for QG18 swap is incomplete providing very less info onto the subject (obviously due to his busy schedule or something) it could do wonders for QG18 swap if he would have explained all ins and outs. Let's see, If I go for one (QG18) swap, I'll try to explain every in and out here, If Allah permits.

@isbcap bette rto get done with the swap first, with the plug (OBD scanner port). Get the car on road and then sort out the AC and allied stuff. You can get a scan done without AC wired properly, that is not an issue.

ECY identity is another issue. some use ecu from 1.5 or any other on QG18. MEC11 is for QG18 which can make all functions work.

No immobilizer issue. NOw many swaps are done and things are not as bad as they used to be when Ghucnha did his swap. Also he is a perfectionist so his satisfaction level is always hard to achieve. I was part of team who worted the mechanicals on the project so i know

Another issue to be addressed is the air cleaner box and AFM. They should be compatible. Both easy available.

Yes, that's what the engine guy was saying. Initially, people stayed away from EFI ones, now almost all people demand EFI.

BTW a whole new lot of EFI engines arrived a few days ago. And carby lot is expected to arrive in 3-4 days. Price difference is only 2-3K.

Stay away from carb ones. Zero support on parts and expertise to work on. They are never optimized, just run and waste fuel.

I Have My GA15DS On ECC Box Wired Up By Me ....Its The Only GA15DS In Town Which Started In Very 1st Attemp Wthout Mingling With Carb And Stand Idle Like BOSS ...Else They Have To Changed Carbs On These Engines As They Can't Make ECC Ones Working .....!

They Always Amuse When They Seen Mine...But Still The Fuel Mileage Of GA15DS Is Quiet Pathetic.....Drinks Way Too Much...Never Tried To Tune As GOAL Was Using Engine On CNG So Going For DE Was Rejected + The Engine Condition Was Quiet A MINT....

If You Hesistate For QG Atleast GET GA16/15DE.......But No Carb...That's A 2 Cent Worth Of Advice
