Maybe.... coz with E13 on CNG, I seldom got overtaken, and this one really feels much more powerful.

In actual friendly races, it may be beaten by quite a distance, who knows. But for daily running, it does not feel under-powered in any way.

I never drive on petrol long enough to conclude on the average but whenever I do the needle doesn't move too much, on CNG I get 200 kms per cylinder in local (was 165km on the same cylinder when I had the GA15DE) but this is on the CNG we get in this region and on relatively clear Islamabad roads as compared to other cities. On long it does around 250 kms on a cylinder filled from this region and 200 when coming back from lahore. The best part is that one does not need to push the accelerator much on this motor, on petrol the biggest issue I have faced is wheel spin.... On CNG due to low end torque the car is not sluggish at all, glides effortlessly

With the current status of CNG, I don't foresee it going too far. So the main concern is about optimizing for Petrol. Let's hope for the best.

Spectra had worst of the low end torque. It used to wake up at 3000rpms. QG18 is alive whenever u want it.

I won't be weeping, coz pretty satisfied with it at the moment. 18 would be like killing a bee with a rocket launcher

Seriously, when I'm on a long route, at times, I can't control the blood, tested many times. Drive with full throttle. My younger brother who has traveled with me a few times knows this, and he strongly opposed the 18 as soon as he learned about it. So was my dad's opinion. And I had my mind clear enough when I looked at 18 buddy and didn't find anything teasing in my heart (H)

I think enough of this 15 vs 18 now. If star2 is not a road rasher like me, and some suspension + brakes upgrade is no problem for him, he may go for that 18 one.

Hmmm.... it is something that I can think of, though I am more interested in the aftermath of a swap, the wiring, the AC, other things. Adrenaline will soon get over with a swap. By the way, please do tell me how they have placed fuel pump ? What fuel pump they put in of which car and how was that job ?

I was expecting this question from you after reading your thread about fuel pump. And to your disappointment, I never supervised it

Those are I think a team of 12-15 guys, 4-5 electricians. It was load shedding after Maghrib, and wiring work was being done by hooking up a bulb with battery. Then I noticed that 2 guys were working on the fuel tank simultaneously. It didn't take much time to finish off the wiring as well as fuel pump installation.

To be fair, if someone wants to cheat you, he will cheat you in any case. So I always leave most things to the honesty of others (Had it not been so, the swap won't even be needed at all, if I had monitored each and everything related to overhaul!!!).

Can't expect much from an electrician with a tape and a wire connected tester. It was uncut wiring, and they have some "ratta" of how to connect 4-5 things, and that's it!!!

Ask them something about ECU, and they'll be like "from which island you have landed???"

The problem is with Pakistani's mentality about mechanics. The most lazy illiterate "chota" , who can't do anything else in life, is a future mechanic/electrician.

With so many EFI cars coming, an engineer of some caliber can easily setup a profitable business. But then again, the disrespect associated with the "mechanic" label is far too annoying than the financials.

The end result:

CNG kit removed, the pipe is open from this end, valve shut down in the engine compartment, as there's still 100bar gas in the cylinder.

With my drive of only 8Km per day, and fuel guage not working, I've to wait for the 8.5 L petrol to finish for establishing the in city petrol consumption.

Re-installing the CNG???? Well, with proposed 3 month shut down, I'm least interested in doing so.

MAF looks incorrect to me. Better meet Yousaf ustaad in Sultan ka khoo. He is not an electrician himself but he knows these engine swaps like anything. He will tell you the rights and wrongs done. IN Mithu Khan they only have tos tart the engine. An expectation of having proper wiring and everything in order is far fetched. Do not lose heart. You are almost done.
