my friend wants to swap engine of santro with some gud performance engine
so tell me wht should be the preference and from where would it be installed

pics would help if any of swaps done to this car

and engines which are suitable

never saw any engine swap in this car..plus its engine bay is small getting any other engine will create issues....

batter do stage 1 or give some other car for swap.

Well I was mulling over the same idea since the last few years. In fact when you google santro engine swap this thread crops up instantly.
I m not an expert at all but have to pose this stupid question to the experts (like ser gtr and others). Is it possible to put in honda city's engine inside the santro, that engine bay looks small too?
If someone wants to give it a try then its better to tell them the risks and benefits, if any.
Indian forums are also stopping anyone from messing santro's engine and swapping it.

you could always fit a 550hp LS7 engine from a Z06 corvette like this guy did in his chevy/daewoo...

without forced inductino it's still at least a 5-10HP improvement over the stock engine. same way there is no point modding a D16 in a civic,.. it's always better to start with the best engine you can (hence why civic boys for at least a B16)

i guess no body with experience comes in here any more... engine bay spacing is not judged by opening the hood and over viewing.

not getting into argument, i have swapped a 4afe in a santro, expertise required and it was difficult. but the car runs fine.
if i had a santro and i was desperate, i'll go for a 4efte. and no im not asking if it fits. i know it fits.
