I am looking for an engine and transmission for starlet 1974 door sedan i have a budget of 5L what engine can i swap in this budget which would give me the most hp?
Starlet 1974 is P40 series SEDAN front engine rear wheel drive.
(P-60 series are 4+1 door hatchbacks)
P40/50 sedans were imported into Pakistan as reconditioned vehicles, all were JDM specs.

Mark2 is the best. Midsized car unlike the others that are much smaller and chassis is stronger as well. Bigger engine bay too and has a far better suspension setup. Parts also available easily
Add ke70 in the list. Pretty trendy now a days.
I had a solid KE70 model 82, sold for 150k 10 years ago. Miss that car alot
