Recently swapped 5afe in jdm rolla. Previously it was having 2c (original). Got it changed due to diesel price. took almost three days coz of a faulty ecu n other reason was that i was insisting to get it done from my mechanic. coz i believe he is best at what he do. sincere, hard working etc etc.
didn't take too much pics and the camera quality is also not too good, sorry for that.

the old 2c. believe me diesel has its own charm. never ever gave any problem in last 3.5 years(after overhaul). just oil change and diesel.

when i came back from bilal gunj car was like this

the 5afe is ready to fit in. my mechanic insisted to buy this engine coz he was sure that engine is best in the whole market. he told me that it has got very few miles on the clock.

mechanical work almost over. nothing altered bolt on fit.

electrician working at 1am .

after that got silencer work done. the car is running perfectly for the past 2 weeks. i'll post more pics tomorrow with complete engine bay including radiator, air intake etc etc.

all i've got now are the pics which i will take tomorrow. i was so much excited and involved that didnt even think to take pics frequently
yup i am thinking to get it converted to CNG. coz its gonna be my daily driving car. letss see when it gets CNG. at this moment i am enjoying its pick on petrol:P

how much u got it for and how much old 2c went.I recently swapped my corolla 2.0D 2003 2c engine with 4afe. I got 13k for 2c as its belt broke and damaged head. I got 4afe from Faisalabad in 72500 complete engine with fitting and everything.

65500 engine gearbox axles complete things. without labour
other charger were labour mechanical+electrician... engine oils etc etc..

and that 65500 doesn't include my old engine price as the engine was sold to my mechanic he'll swap it in ee90 coz engine was perfectly alright and he doesnt use that car much so it wont be heavy on his pocket.

boss i think ur aware that 5afe is 1500cc with 100 hp . y didnt u go for 4afe which is 1600 cc with 105 bhp

@all other what if i get a deal that every mechanical parts that is complete engine with auto gear full wiring (not cut wiring) auto gear lever and brake padel ,axle , sterring box,complete front suspension with shocks and complete back suspension with shocks etc. every thing other then radiator in 85k

bro difference is of only 5 bhp. and 95% ofl the 4AFEs in bilalgunj are local not imported and as u know that 5afe isn't offered in any Indus corolla so it cannot be local assembled and i m sure that my engine has done very few KMs. and their(4AFE) condition was also not like the 5AFEs.. my mechanic have took the guarantee that this engine (as its condition) is gonna stay with me at least 5-7 years... so difference in bhp isn't that much but most of 1.6s are polished and are not sealed.

for the other question i think you are getting all the things at very reasonable price. its just like half cut. but if and only if these things are not of any locally used car. and believe me there is a lot of difference in local used and imported engines.

keep checking the oil levels regularly

thnx. yup they've given warranty of 3-4 weeks but all is well :). ill keep a check on oil levels. thnx for the advice
