Is your engine fully warmed up? Or running without thermostat? Is the mechanical timing correct. Is the centrifugal advance working in the distributor along with the vacuum advance (this engine requires direct manifold vacuum to the distributor vacuum advance)
Its tappet setting also throws off many mechanics as they cannot see the base circle of the cam and try to “andaaza it”
Its own carburettor looks like a civic one but has larger throats due to engine requirements.
And finally does it use its own in tank electric fuel pump or has someone rigged some other piece of trash pump? Originally this car has no return line, the pump offloads the pressure regulator when the needle valve closes.
Its a very simple engine, I think you need to make sure your mechanics know how to work on it, are they trying to fix it by “pilugg gap chota rakho, micharr kam rakho aur hinnann thandaa”?
