Engine swapping for corolla 86

Dear all, I want to know if new corolla engines can be installed in E80 corolla or only 5EFE and 4EFE are the only choice? What iam looking is fuel efficient power. Looking forward for your knowledge rich input.

these engines are very old now.
better to swap new generation engines if your really want to swap.
like 1nzfe or any other.

2nz-fe will be economical solution for daily usage.
1nz-fe will be high end solution

If my memory is still working then in 2001 or 2002, as part of our project in my Engineering , we made our project implemented on our group member's beloved 86 corolla which was equipped with 2nz-fe and it was real pleasure driving

my friend recently swapped 1nzfe in AE chassis on my call.
i personally prefer 1nzfe over 2nzfe because it gives better power to weight ratio as there's not much weight difference in both.
and fun fact 1nzfe is lighter then 2A.

What changes were required / done on the chassis for the installation
