Euro Star Tyres for Honda City

Hello,

I have couple of question and wanted to get answer from experts;

What's the max mileage life of General Euro Star Tyre which comes already installed in Honda City? I have no issues physically but have already driven 40k KM.

Current tyre size is 175/65/R15, can we use bigger size tyre to increase road clearance? Actually at every speed breaker atleast car mud flap touches the speed breaker and when the family is on board its some time becomes challenge to avoid car touching the ground!!!

You can use bigger size. It will cause meter reading offset. You can check the offset caused by the different tyre size from online calculators.
I was using 185/65/15 as it causes minimal difference ~2, which lies in the acceptable range.
Eurostar is hard but it lasts longer. Physically check the condition of tyre and its tread and then decide
You can use them for 60k even.

I used euro in my previous 2016 model city for 75k and still they were good to go. Euro tire is best for our rough n tough roads. Thank you Honda for elevating this new gen city. Ground clearance is excellent.

I am also looking for new tyres for Honda City 2016 and I think the stock tyres are General 175/65/15 (or is it 185/65/15?) if I am not mistaken.

I have looked at 2-3 places but they seem to be selling slight used (100-200lm driven tyres) claiming they are new. And when you insist they are not 100% new, they admit this.

I am really tried of all this fraud and want to know if there are any decent places I can go to buy new tyres, and also any tyre buying tips would be appreciated.

Stock tyres r 175/65/15. U can buy from any 3s honda dealership new tires

I think Euro Star tyres are of very low quality, because they are cheap and locally made. I purchased same tyres and used them for 10k km approx, and then i decided to change them. Reason behind, de-shaping, hardness and roo much noise. I would recommend to use best quality tyres to feel comfort and most importantly, to have a safe journey (life is everything).

For other options, I would say, Yokohama, Dunlop, mitchlin etc. They all are good, but again, it depends on your usage.

EuroStar tyres become hard very early and cause too much road noise. Yet they get punctured very rarely. They last around 50k km before becoming too much hard to bear. Better for most non urban/unpaved rural drive.

Yoko tyres are soft, comfortable and noiseless. Yet they get punctured frequently with any roadside nail/pointing bolt. Better for urban and highway/motorway drive.

Choice is yours.

I got my EuroStar tyres changed at 50k km milage, still the tread was almost like on new tyres, yet they became very hard on suspension. Now using Yokohama BluEarth ES32, very much satisfied. 4 punctures in 11 months.

I agree on the punture part.

have factory fitted Euro Tycoon on my Cultus 2022, 30,000 Kms alhamdulillah No puntures.

on the other hand my 7k driven City 2022 on Yokohamas has had 2 puntures.

Bro where are you driving these? I'm at 2+ years and 25k kms and zero punctures even travelled on under construction GT Roads , unpaved wzd-skt road, and on Most of Lahore city roads, Isb-rwp and Murree roads till Nathiagali and really tested its limits in all kinds of weathers. ES32 is as good as it gets for Old City.

2 punctures mujay yaad hain, aik puncture aisi street se guzarnay k baad hua jis me motorcycles ki punctures ki koi shop thi I think. Pointed thick bolt found to be causing tick tick as the speed increased and then I checked the tyre.
2nd time it happened in a parking lot in a public hospital. Very sharp black colored threaded screw with a flat head it was.

Now don't tell me that I have punctured my car's tyres myself.

Just the luck of the draw then, some unfortunate tyre had to have those punctures. People would call me cynical but i would go as far as blaming those puncture shops for putting those traps to gain customers on a daily basis.

I am using Yokohama AE51 for past 1 year. No puncture yet alhamdulilah
