Launch date is April 19, 2023.

I love microcars and this one is a classic. Production has commenced at MG plant for this month launch. The expected range is 250km on a 20KwH battery and is mainly for city drive. I will update this thread upon launch.

The MG Comet was unveiled today in the indian car market. Prices will be announced las t week of April after which sales will commence. price is expected in the 10 lac range. Below are pics of the Comet from the official unveil.

MG Comet EV launched in India today at Rs 7.98 lakh

The Comet has a single engine with 42bh, 110Nm of torque and a 10,25 inch infotainment screen.

The price is high but seems to be on par for an EV. If you have some loose change lying around and want to stand out from the crowd i think this is a perfect city car after the Nano was put down.

Up to now EVs were mainly for the well heeled few but after the TATA Tiago EV and this car and many more targeting the vast middle class buyer are now beginning to appear in the market. Let's see if the middle class buyer actually buys into this proposition because this is the only way volume of scale can be achieved.
