Experience about Akebono brake pads for Toyota Corolla Altis 2018

Hi Pakwheelers and car enthusiasts!
I just wanted to know the experience of people using Akebono brake pads in their corolla automatic transmissions.
1. Braking performance
2. sound etc

Please share your good as well as bad experiences.

Using them in my civic 7th gen, best aftermarket option compared to Honda genuines. No squeals etc and brake bite is good too. Make sure the old brake pad shims are correctly re installed on them with correct grease, as they donot come with shims.

DON'T GO FOR AKEBONO BRAKE PADS.

I did a diy brake job last year, new rotors, pads and everything. The issue I faced with them was that the brake faded very quickly on downhill (monal, kallar kahar). As soon as the pads got a lil hot they made weird screeching sounds. Replaced them with honda oem within 2 months and no issues yet.

I have used Asukis without any issues so I do not see why Akebonos would cause any either.

Brake fade is most likely moisture in the brake fluid

Yeah I bled the brakes again however it did not resolve my issue.

Which Asuki brake pads? there are two types in the market. ASUKI NTC or ASUKI NM O.E.M. ? both are available at pakwheels store. I am not sure which ones are real. first one has a blue packing or completely red packing. later one has a blue packing with a red part.

Advics are the oe supplier to toyota.

Honda usually have nissin brake pads while nissan, mazda and subaru use hitachi material.

Are you sure you used original Akebono pads? I havent had these issues so far but havent taken it to up north too. Akebono and Nissin are OE brake parts supplier for Honda atleast (and other manufacturers too)

Apart from Nissin, Honda has Akebonos as O.E too (AK written on o.e. honda civic pads).

Perfect don't forget to resurfacing the rotors as well don't use Akebono if you don't plan to do the rotor resurfacing and also replace the brake fluid you will mesmerized by the AK performance
