required I am going to buy Land Rover 1979 model 3 door its equipped with 2200cc toyota hilux diesel with 5 speed manual NO 4x4 .......the issue is i want this for hunting so need 4x4 kindly suggest me good combination of gear and axle with 2200cc hilux engine ...... Its orignal axles are still their but mechanic ask me to replace it with range-rover axle and prado gear ... Kindly share your experience

I might be too late but do not listen to your mechanic. try to restore it with Defender parts from Mandi bahauddin or from a Salvaged Land Rover.
Please post some pictures of the interior of this vehicle.
