Exploded Aerosol Spray

Just got email from our safety department regarding aerosol cans placed in cars. Air freshener can was left inside the car on the seat and due to high temperature and pressure generated in the air freshener it exploded and penetrated the side panel of the door. Pool car was parked in the office backyard under direct sun.

Kindly take care that you do not park your vehicles in the open and especially when there are pressure cans inside the car. It is advisable not to keep any such pressure cans inside your cars even when you are inside the vehicles and travelling during summer months.

It can result in serious accidents.

Now Just imagine how important is the safety and regular inspection of that bloody 50 or 55L or whatever under pressure big can sitting in your trunk.

Wake up and check that thing as well. Its matter of life & death..

The pressure in aerosols are 1.5 atm which is 1.5x14.7psi

CNG under 3000 psi.. Work out the damage yourself.

you are right we should get it checked
but mostly accident s are happened due to wrong installment or leakage in LPG cylinder as they use local kits

Most of the cylinder which explode either are of low quality or oxygen cylinder been used, though I agreed with the checking part.

Well i hav seen one explode...but it was done by me..i shaked a can of deodorant and shot it with air gun .it exploded and started to move here and there with great speed so these thing are very dangerous under pressure which is incraesed due to heat nowdays.

damn i have an AirWick in my car door storage space 24/7 and the car is parked in the sun all day....i better take it away today. thanks for the info
