guys i wanted to ask that the mileage mentioned on export certificate is correct or not???

^ Its an official document, And yes the mileage is totaly genuine on it, How ever the mileage on the auction sheet can be higher then that on the export certificate. But not less then what is on the export certificate.

For instance, I sold my car in japan, and its export certificate was made to be sold, But it wasnt sold, Then later some auction house bought it so mean while it was being driven here and there, But once a car is auctioned, it is transported to the shipyard or port so it cannot be driven at all.

By the way not every Export Certificates have Mileage Mentioned ON them. Confirmed it by going through couple of Other's Documents Mine has mileage on it though .

True, Another issue is that the dealers dont provide the orignal, They manipulate (dont mind the spelling) it and provide you a blurish copy, Mostly because to hide the mileage,

A meter reveresed Mira was being sold to me was caught thru the export certificate, The broker involved in the deal told mei, " ap ki kismat, Yeh to ismei orignal hai, akser to photo copy hee hoti hai"

I have noticed that cars imported in 2011 and onwards had mileage written on the export certificate.

As a Matter of Fact i had to Blew up a deal of Toyota X 20th Anniversary Edition worth 1.7M right after when all the things and prices were being settled and i asked papers for final checkup thats when i saw 70000 km on the export certificate when the ODO was showing 26000KM i was like What ? and that too doing a deal with a very reliable dealer, the look on their faces told me one thing though not many ppl were aware of this thing not even themselves i guess else they could not have produced it right away. I backed OFF from the Deal !!

I had two cars which were imported in 2007 and 2008.they didnt have mileage written on them...

Similar case with me, They were yeh to kuch aur hai, kisi aur cheez ka, bla bla, (my foolishness i had the payorder made) But thankfully, didnt go with the deal, learned my lesson for rs. 150

Btw a car cannot be registered without the export certificate so its a mandatory document.

I was reading one of sharabhi's thread.he was selling his freshly imported car .he told that the odo meter is showing 60k something nd the export certificate had 30k something.
One more thing , if mileage is mentioned on the export certicate than year is also mentioned next to it.
For instance i checked few cars a month ago, which were recently imported.mileage was mentioned on the export certificate and next to it 2010 was written in brackets..

Waisay one must check the export certificate before buying the car if auction sheet isn't provided.

As i mentioned, that the car can be driven after the export certificate is made, But the auction sheets mileage is the last written mileage, and after that the car isnt driven. Its transported to the shipyard for export
