Hi,
My city SX8 2003 Manual (purchased few months ago) is giving extremely ridiculous fuel avg of 6.5kmpl even though I use light foot and doesn't drive aggressively.
I have already changed the engine oil, air filter, oil filter, spark plugs, coolant and did throttle body service too but the avg doesn't increase.
The car is taking 1400 RPM after starting and reducing the RPM to 900 after a slight bit of acceleration is given in idle mode and then increasing to 1100 again as soon as acceleration is stopped.
Mechanic said (which I didn't understand) 'race jab detay hain to coin type cheez oper hojaati hai aur idle mode main neechay taakay air paas na ho, aap ki gaari us setting main gap aa gya hai jiski waja se air paas ho rhi hai'. Can any of you guys understand what he was trying to say? If yes, what's that thing and should I fix it immediately?
I am going for injector cleaning (via machine) in a day or two. Will check for the leakage too.
What do you guys recommend me to do or change to improve the average?

While driving today, I felt like race bohat ziada barhi hoe hai and the car is idling at 1200 RPM.
First update:
Mechanic did some tappet adjustment and he said that you'll feel the difference afterward and he asked my brother to leave the car for a day to check fuel injector, do race adjustment and to find other issues with the car. My brother denied leaving the car for a day. He is planning to go to a different mechanic.

Done following things:
- Checked for leakage in injectors (none found Alhamdulillah)
- Injector cleaned via machine (they were way too dirty)
- IAC valve serviced (bohat ganda ho rha tha)
- Throttle body serviced
- Spark plugs cleaned
- Tappet adjustment
- Condenser fan's plug disconnected (so it may not start with the engine)
Issues noticed afterward:
- Race bohat ziada kam ho gae.
- Gaari knocking krna shuru ho gae
- Baar baar band hona
- Check engine sign was present
- Car started heat-up after 10-15 KM (bohat ziada nahi lekn still the car felt like garam ho rhi hai)
Visited the mechanic again, he did some "magic" and the check engine sign was gone and he also did some race adjustment but the knocking/off issue didn't solved so next days, he said to leave the car for 2-3 hours to check the knocking and 'car off' issue while saying "bhai maine to kuch bhi nahi cheera tha magar phir bhi main dekh lounga".
Strange logic used by the mechanic:
- Radiator aur condensor kay fan ko direct krne se koi farq nahi parta gaari per aur na fuel average per.
- Agar aap kaho ge to "switch" laga dounga taakay direct se hat jae lekn koi faida nhi uska.
- Pakistan main log dono fans direct hi rakhtay hain taakay gaari garam ho hi na.
- Fuel filter change krwanay main paisay lagainge faltu kay aur koi faida nahi hoga (LOL at this specific logic of him)
Final Verdict by mechanic:
Agar issay fuel average sahi nahi howa to phir head kholna paray ga aur phir woh lamba kaam aur kharcha hai.
