Salam Everyone, I’m under the process of swaping a 1nzfe in my suzuki khyber, The fitting of the Engine went smoothly Alhamdullillah, but im facing electronic issues with my car, Beginning with my rev limiter. The rev limiter is engaging at around 2000-2100 RPM Other than that, we’re having trouble connecting the obd-1 grip to the ECU, how can i use a diagnoser with this setup? We’re really struggling with these problems Any help from the Experienced pakwheelers will be greatly appreciated. Thankyou In Advance.

You need a smart electrician. Dropping engine is easy but EFI engines needs proper wiring to work.
Did you use uncut wiring? Which ECU? Did your electrician connect all sensors?
One of my favourite engine to swap in daily.Rev limitor or fuel cut?It's obd2 engine. Did you got uncut wiring? And don't install 2nzfe ecu what local mechanics usually do.It's Toyota easy to wireup.

There’s one electrician coming in tomorrow, I’ve used various 1nzfe cards both auto and manual They all give the same error, Yupp i used uncut wiring and yes all the sensors have been checked again
Rev limiter, my guess is that the car is getting into limp hone mode due to some error, Yupp Nope it’s obd1 It’s an earlier generation, one with the wire throrrle body Nope, i’ve tried various 1nzfe cards they all show the same error
Yes i was thinking same.From 1996 every efi is obd2 it should be obd2.Various sensor can send car in limp mode.Any high feedback voltages from sensor can also cause that. You have to check everything actually.

Br how much 1nz Fe cost you? And with transmission, wiring, self, gent or only engine, and from where you purchased it
Some connection to ECU is missing thts why it seems its goin into limp mode. Check all wires to ecu. I have heard Some time when they need to salvage such vehicle they cut wires from loom.
