Facing low mileage for mehran euro 2

aoa...friends I recently got a 2nd hand mehran euro 2...had only 3500 km done...n very good condition..i calculated its average within city..it came out to be 12 km/l which is ridiculously low...my 2005 model city idsi does almost that much !! can anyone help me as to what the issue might be?

w.s.... i don think its ridiculously low. actually i guess the credit goes to Idsi. I haev 2006 Idsi. it gives 10-12 km/l with AC in local and 15-18 km/l with AC on the Motorway. My cousin has Mehran 2007 and he gets 13 km/l on the motorway.

I am Planning to buy new Mehran Euro II..if you are using it for few months?..kindly let me know of your experience?..How you find it?..there are rumors..Its Fuel consumption go increase after three four months?..looking for your brotherly advice..btw till now i choosed to go for Mehran coz it looks most economical in every perspectives and have a very good resale value..

It used to have very good sale, not anymore. I sold my 12k Euro II 2012 Nov registered Mehran at 570k, bought @ 593k, A/C & DVD player was added which didn't paid off.

Buying new Mehran will eat up a lot of fuel as the engine is new. Even 3500 Mehran is still considered new engine. 12 km/l is good with in city, in the later days, I used to have maximum 10 km/l which my vitz is giving me now. On highways, I got from 11km/l (motorway as I drove it around 130 ~ 140) to 18km/l on Multan ~ Lahore highway (avg speed 90 ~ 100).

If you want economy and want to drive within city, get JDM 660cc, will save you a lot of fuel, else get vitz 2005, its good with fuel too, better than Mehran.
