Hi Everybody,

Pls. guide me which cng gives more performance or better......factory fitted or locally fitted while we take italian kit..

As far as I know, there is no "factory fitted cng" in any cars in Pakistan. All cng conversions are done by 3rd parties locally. You may think that you're getting factory fitting because your dealer tells you that but they're contracting with a 3rd party to do the fitting before the car is delivered to you. The only cars I have some doubt about are the santro and the cuore; hyundai and toyota may have allowed assembly line fitting of cng on these models. I've spoken with dealers and they say that the parent companies discourage use of cng kits in their cars.

i m not sure that vadvaro is right or wrong ...

but from my personal experience that u should go for factory fitted cng and the installation is very neat and clean ... no doubt some local cng installer are doing very good jobb ... but i prefere u to go for factory fitted one ... as u are 100% sure that u have original parts installed ... and yes there is no need to replace back shocker/spring as the company has already done for u ...

Yeah i heard that too. I think adding a CNG fueling system sometimes ends up voiding your warranty in some cases.

@FDK:
I'm guessing it'll just be dependant on the installation. I think the best ones are the Italian and i heard the Argentenian kits are also good.

Toyota Indus and Honda Atlas never fits any cng in their cars nor will they allow, only there dealers fit cng kits through 3rd party as rightly said by @vadvaro.
So far the performance is concerned there is absolutely noth'n diifference, except fitting/Installation quality finishing.
Suzuki, Nissan and Santro are Installing Landi renzo kits and those kits are also commonly available in the market.

Toyota indus is fitting cng in diahatsu cuore in their factory and the timing advancer they are fitting is not available in local market.

Can anybody let me know about Cherry QQ....... is it reliable as they are offering very well equiped car at reasonable prx.

manufacturers use same kits & cylinders that are available in the local market...so there is no concept of "Factory Fitted Cng". well if u compare a factory fitted A/c...the difference is that the manufacturer also installs some mechanical parts as well such as vaccums etc to accomodate the operation of A/c..while there is no such requirement for installing a Cng..however i agree with scorpion80...factory fitting is neat n clean but i've seen pak suzuki cars with lots of complaints with factory fittd cng..in karachi "Stanley" fits the kits more neatly & tunes the engine atleast 50% better then factory fitted cng..also it costs more then usual also

One thing more do we need to change back shock/spring if we don't go for factory fitted cng......as per some cuore deales factory use special back spring according to cng while I couldn't find this info at official toyota cuore web site.

Pls. advise is it right or a false statement.

6 months back i went to the authroized dealer of Landi Renzo in Johar town and i saw many applied for Coures standing there. On enquiry, he told me that he has a contract with Indus motors for fitting of CNG kits in new coures.

I dont think that indus motor is operating a seprate unit for installation of cng kits in their cars. I believe it is being done by a thrid party.
