Failing of Ac of Khyber in severe hot from 1-3 pm

I think Alto main Multiflow he aa raha hay aj kal isliya 134-a per acha result hay uskay AC ka.

Alto coming with Sanden compressor and MFC along with a power full radiator fan so cooling is i think one of the best in 1000cc cars.

Actly i guess the whole unit of ac including the khyber own genuine condensor along with its fan is genuine one, only compressor is changed and it is sandon one....im also confused abt compatability of genuine condensor with R-134 gas as the genuine unit supports R-12 gas but i got R-134 gas installed in the unit and more ever my compressor is not genuine one...i have checked my unit to so many ppl...they have said everythng is good including compressor and therefore i doubt that the fault lies some where with condensor...??????

Here you go , the sanden compressor generates more head pressure than the stock denso one requiring bigger condenser to shed off extra heat instead you also have R134a in the system which is 20% less efficient in heat shedding than R12. The solution to both issues is bigger and better condenser.

my ac works good n while i was on motor way frm lahore,AC was trippin,but in local drive,it dont trip but cooling is good..but the problem with khyber is its not very good insulated n alto has tht advantage tht ac cooling stays inside..
so im plannin to get multiflow but in winters wen rates might go a little down,this time is peak time n every thing of AC is damn expensive..any price idea of multi flow???

Hmm The Desi mechanics got hardly any method to get these things to work properly. I remember I had a Nissan 1000cc with Sanden compressor R12 and so far whatever car i havve used 2010 corolla i have yet to see cooling like that nissan.

I remember in June of Lahore in Idle under sun my friend asked me to please turn it off he feels cold lol.

So if your lucky even these serpentine condensors can produce good enough cooling.

Cost hmm i bought my Charade MFC for 4500. For my EE90 If i rem correctly bcoz the size is big it was for around 6 thousand there are few qualities in these as well. The Charade MFC was Senden one.

I was the one first one on pakwheeels where i talked about Multiflow condensor which i installed in my charade 2 years ago Agar charade 86 main lag sakta hai tu khayber main bhi.

+1. Multi-flow will really help diffusing the heat and keeping the unit to perform effectively in extreme conditions.
I still remember Vaqas thread for installing and recommending Multi-flow condensors. That was a good one.

u can get multi flow from any AC shop...but best wud b to buy it frm some dealership ,AC waly are usually rip offs!

Naveed right now you will not find it anywhere i mean i tried and no luck.

I will suggest if you can live with your current a/c than go for multi fllow or other fixes in Winters
Peak hours main tu i have seen 2011 city a/c fails.

You can try Rehman Refrigeration Muree Road 0321 8555600 051 5540016 they are success dealers they had Multi flow but this season they dont even have success compressors lol short hai sub.

You can also speak to my A/C wala his name is Hameed 0333 5246702 but he is not an easy guy to get work done from as he got this bad habbit of doin 2 or 3 cars at a time so usually small job can take full day I get all my a/c work in Jan of Feb when he got nothing to do and he is a fan of MFC condensor.

BTW why you changed gas to 134? why not R12? I like R12 more that gas is perfect with serpentine condensor and even weak system it cools very well. 134 is kind of demanding gas i feel it needs very good condensor to cool down.

Only reason we are not using R12 in new cars is bcoz of environment issues otherwise R12 is still favourite gas of most people who understand refrigeration.

n any place to look for it specifically???

Should be around 3000Rs but make sure the size fits your car. You can try for it in Sadar Mithu khan there are few shops dealing in a/c parts or sultan ka kho as well.

You will also need a/c guy who is willing to experiment

I would have gone for R-12 for sure if my compressor would have been the genuine one But since i told you that whole ac unit is genuine except compressor which was later installed of sanden so dats why ac mechanic told that sanden compressor shud go for R-134 gas rather than R-12 gas...?
What do u think that is i9t mandatory for sanden compressor to get R-134 gas filled as mandatory...?????

i visited mechanic for some car repairs.
mechanic's brother has ac shop n he was sayin to get r12 gas from small tins tht 1 kgs available in markets..
he said k jo aaj kal gas aa re hy tht usually is chinese in green sylinders,he said the tins r originally made in france or germany n no china stuff..n its cheap too..like he said he will put all new gas for 1300 n if cooling is not better than right now,he wont ask money at-all.
so im gonna give him a try first rather than goin for MFC right now cuz MFC will b expensive as well as hard fetch..
ill go to him on maybe saturday..ill prefer goin back to r12 system!

BTW Oil is different for R12 so make sure he uses oil recomended for R12 or R134.

gas makes a difference for sure and Tin one my mechanic tried it he was in favour of it but my a/c wala was not. I am using success gas hmm seems chinese but its working fine. I am using MFC Condensor, Denso Compressor, 98 Corolla Evaporator that is also MF type with good steel bottle type dryer and all. Gas is 134.
