You are forgetting the Custom Duty which come to about 12 lacs for 2012 model Axio that is allowed to be imported, about 60k documentation charges and 10-20k transportation charges. Then the investors ask for profit too.

Add in 100k+- shipment charges from JP to PK and voila!

I'd say dealership, the mechanics do not have any tools to make sure the belt has been tightened to the Company specific tension. The mechanics just do it by "experience" and "guess work". I have seen one mechanic trying different belts on a Honda City, the same doing "smoke" caused by incorrect tension on the belt and finally he got it right, at least for the time being.

There is a special tool used for checking whether the belt's tension is correct or not. I have no idea if local Toyota dealership has those or not but at least they will not be doing anything by "guess work".

Thanks, can you tell me more about how to check if the belt is properly configured, i don't wanna look like a noob infront of the dealership guys, also can you confirm if the engine oil capacity of axio is 3.7 with oil filter ?

Its 3.7litre as per manual. Also, which belt are you referring to? Timing belt? If yes, then Axio has a timing chain and it doesn't need replacing/servicing unless there are problems. If alternator belt, then yes that is changed.

Today my car is in for 80k km regular maintenance, will share the bill. Not getting the transmission oil changed however since it was changed at 50k and I'll get it changed in the winters. My alternator belt is also being changed as per the inspection of the Toyota mechs, its past it.

One of my friends is importing Axio Hybrid 2013, 6 AA grade, 2500 km Odo reading, for his customer... The car was auctioned for 1690000 yen....

Umm i really dont know, the squeaking noise comes on while turning the AC ON and spraying water on the belts pully makes that noise go away temporarily. I went to the toyoto they said 5K for the belt,1 K for labour :/, i've to make up my mind by monday, the car is about to clock 100K.

Yeah, its the V-belt. I got that changed today in the 80k checkup. Belt was for 5k yup

Dunno about belt. I will check in the manual and post if I find anything but as far as I remember, it is checked with a torque wrench type of thing that measures the tension in belt.

3.5 liters engine oil is what I've always put in Axio, I don't think .2 liters make a difference, it never comes low on the dip stick anyway.

Can you please tell me what all was checked in 50k maintenance? and cost? My Axio clocked 50k some weeks ago and have been meaning to take it to Toyota Capital for 50k check-up; besides transmission oil/engine oil/AC filter.

So this is breakdown of my 80k maintenance (6k labour+cost of parts):

• Engine oil/filter changed
• Brake oil changed + bleeding
• front discs/rear drums serviced/pads checked, were fine! (didn't need replacing, were ~20k km old)
• Transmission oil change
• Throttle body serviced
• Fuel filter check (would have been replaced had I gotten it changed @ the 40k maintenance)
• Spark plugs cleaned
• Air filter replaced (ran for ~18k km, no drop in fuel mileage or pick of the car etc)
• V-belt replaced (no labour cost, was covered in 80k maintenance)

The import duty on the car is roughly 950k to 1200k hence the ridiculous price.

@mashriqain & [mention=113376]strikerx thankyou for quike reply. I think for 1300 cc car custom duty is 4.5 lacs more than custom duty for 1000cc car.
