Faw V2 Engine HeatUp Problem

I recently purchased a used faw v2 2017. I want to get some help about its engine heating problem. Its heat needle remain at the center of the guage as for as i drive round about 100km/hr and when i exceed the speed above that its heat needle also starts going up. I want to ask that is it okay that its needle remains at middle as i think it should remain some below that middle point? and what could be the reason it goes up while i increase speed above 110-120 above? mechanic says it is normal if needle stays in the middle

Heat needle shouldn't cross mid point.
Get the radiator checked.If it has rust and u have been using water in it then pour coolant.

brother, the needle should remain in the middle, anything above that is abnormal.
is your car reducing water also ?

when engine heats up only at higher speeds, it means that something is restricting enough coolant to flow through the engine block. usually radiator is blocked and when engine runs on higher speeds, it requires more water to flow through engine, but blocked radiator fins don't allow enough water to pass through them to cool down engine at that speed, hence the engine heating up only at higher speeds. The solution to this problem is radiator cleaning service.
and while doing that, get it also checked for any leaks, check the radiator cap also if it is okay or needs to be changed.

indeed, you are right. A bad water pump would also not be able to circulate enough water through the engine block at higher speeds.

switching on the AC increases load on the engine and it requires more water to circulate through the engine to cool it down, and a clogged radiator or a bad water pump will not be able to let enough water pass through the engine block resulting in engine heating up.
