FAW V2 Owner's Review

What makes a car successful are its after sales service, easy spare part availability, mechanic's level of comfort, good resale (as anyone can feel the need anytime to sell off anything for an upgrade or encashment)...for all the above, vitz/cultus/wagonR.
V2 is yet to prove anything positive in paki market. Its a matter of 11 lacs. Act wise.

These are some wise lines. You are right.
Though I don't like cultus, it's not comfortable at all. Been driving it since few years.
And Wagon R being Pak Suzuki made, I don't trust at all.
What do you think about Mitsubishi Mirage?

Yar, i personally disliked cultus but recently have bought one for myself. Its a fine car. Although not very much upto the mark but the merits exceeds demerits - excellent cabin space, excellent mileage, good ac, like mehran to maintain, spare parts available even at 'paan ki dukaan' as we casually say, mechanics are champions to fix it, rough and tough...what else do we need...recently i got a new side mirror for 350 rupees!

Yar, imported stuff is good but good only if you get hold of a genuine car and not Tsunami hit, abused, rusted, accidented, reversed odo one...

We should learn from failed attempts from Proton, Geely, Kia, fiat, Chevy who had excellent cars but see what the owners think of them now as not even the minutest of parts are available...

I have driven V2 for more than 70,000km
Now. It is one of the best hatchbacks I've ever had.
660ccs are piece of junk.
I've had them aswell.
Passo new model is too costly.
V2 is the Best Buy in this price category.
Plus I'm glad that we can see a lot of v2s on road now which is very encouraging.
Plus the dealership treats so well.
I haven't spend a Europe on maintenance accept oil change and disc pad change.

Mitsubishi Mirage is the good option also... It has allot of features and insane fuel economey on long rutes like 22km/L to 25km/L and even in the city u can achive 18 to 20km/L

Drive is almost like honda city and its the best in its catagery...

As this car is a new enternt so body parts n mechanical parts may not be available...

V2 is also a good option but vitz is not good option as its an over priced car... Around 13 to 14 lacks...

Instead of vitz go for honda city 15.28 lacks i guess... stretch ur budget a little... But for sure u wont regret buying honda city....

@fmkiani ... Brother, would you recommend this car today. I am going to buy my first car and have the choices of Mitsubishi Mirage - Toyota Vitz - Faw V2 - Passo.

Strongly advise you. Stay away from jdm crap. It is better for you to buy brand new mehran rather than buying jdm. At least mehran will be call new untouch car. Not ****** like jdms.
If you really hate Chinese name n v2.
I'm also owner of v2. Best of luck for new purchase.

V2 1300 CC he or price Rs. 10,49,000/-, jabkey Vitz 1000 CC ki price kahin ziada he 14 to 15 lac, Suzuki Swift 1300 gari he iskey sath V2 to compare kia ja sakta he but v2 key features ziada he or swift ki price bhi Rs.13,70,000 i think

Being an owner of a v2, I would also suggest going in for a vitz. Do not buy a v2.

fmkiani I am glad to see your positive response of V2. yeah, 660cc is not on my list. Vitz is overrated as people are saying. I am thinking about Mirage now.

Gear still sticky eventhough I changed the oil with Toyota gear oil. Steering column has got slight play which cause it to vibrate. Knocking/ticking sound coming from under the hood once the AC is on.

If city is expensive due to parts then you have option for rolla gli you can buy in 12 lac in mint condition which is called total genion. I have bought for myself rolla 10 model.

AoA guys. I am planning to buy my first ever car (family car) on bank lease. I have two options in my budget, of Wagon R VXL or Faw V2 as both are priced the same. I don't like the Wagon R very much due to shape, and very limited features.

I am very much inclined towards the v2 but have a few hesitations such as regarding availability of parts, build quality of car, mechanical noises etc especially from people who have kept it for over a year. I don't care much about resale.

I would request members which have kept v2 for over a year or two now to comment regarding their experience with the vehicle on things like quality, maintenance etc. fmkiani looking forward to your remarks after having the v2 for almost 2 years (i suppose) now.

Also please let me know all the taxes applied at time of registration for rwp (punjab) number.

Saad bro v2 is not bad at all. Parts are not much expensive which you are thinking.
Car have Lil bit problems which can be resolved by dealership.
Fuel consumption is about 13 to 15km.
Parts are only available at dealship but you don't need to worry because you are buying from bank so they will provide you insurance.
I can guide you regarding some parts like
Bumpers are about 7k one
Headlight about 10k one
Tail lights about 7k.
Oil filter you can use corolla one
Air filter 500rs genion faw wala
v2 doesn't need any special maintenance.
Registration charges max 28k all over the punjab.
Hope it will help you.
You can join v2 what's up group as well . N you can meet hundreds of owners over there.

Is there any ON on the car nowadays? Also did new owners had to pay additional Rs. 25000 delivery charges?

Today I visited FAW showroom to analyze the car. Well it was well beyond what I was expecting from general people views.

Its exterior paint finish ... I have never seen in a local car.

About the interior quality ... the problem is just the colour, its colour is like faded plastic .... thats all ... otherwise quality is equivalent to any local car.

Seats quality are better that current Honda City.

Keeping in mind the price and features its offering there is no match for this car.

btw I also went to Suzuki showroom to evaluate Wagon-R as an option but after analyzing at V2, I did not bother even to sit in it.
