AOA everyone
Sorry i am a bit late in posting this review
Its been a month since i bought my faw v2
I guess everyone has seen the exterior and interior so no point in explaining it all over again
I have no issues with hard horn, window switches, opposite knobs, green panel lights. Its just about getting used to it.
Air noise is easily solved by door rubbers worth 1500 rupees. A vague sound from rear suspension just required oiling. Plus some minor works like tightening the fan belt, adjusting the steering wheel and adjustment of pedals was required. Thats all the bad i can narrate about my v2
Now coming to the overall review
Exterior-Good. Doesnt lack in anything including paint
Interior-people complain about poor plastic quality. Its actually better than suzukis with well fitted and adjusted panels. No kharr kharr till now. Door closing has become a bit hard because of rubbers. But they have greatly improved the quitness of the cabin. This car is as spacious as a vitz. Better than swift cultus wagon r. Trunk is too damn spacious if used well. I mean put such bags etc that fit well and you can put whole family's luggage in it. Seats are comfortable. Front ones similar to my previous 2013 gli. Obviously rear ones cant be as comfortable as a corolla but those are reasonably good too
Drive-drive is too good for a hatchback. I was expecting a very different drive from my previous gli but believe me this car grips so well to the road that it really feels in the drive. The feeling you get in a civic. Even corolla didnt have this feel. Steering is as light as corolla's if not softer. Turning is quite reasonable. The car is easily manouverable but obviously not as stable as low centre of gravity sedans. But this doesnt mean its bad. Its just less good. Car handles usual road bumps very well. Front suspension is very good actually. Rear suspension gives you a small car feel. But not as much as cultus or swift. The car responds very well. There is absolutely neither any problem in low end pickup nor in pushing the car. I havent crossed 4000rpm that too after completing 1000km. The car doesnt feel lacking enough power even with 4 people on board with ac. Brakes are too good. I never expected such good brakes in a "rated small" car. Had a situation in which i am sure my previous corolla would have engaged abs. V2 decelerated like it was nothing and remained in very good control without even requiring the abs to be engaged
Accessories- AC performs very well. Never felt it failing even in hottest days. Headlights provide good visibility and level adjuster adds to it. It cant be compared to corolla or civic's dual headlights but these are as good as any good car with single headlights. Foglights are better than what toyota people installed in my gli saying them original altis's foglights. Audio player is too good. Connected dc home theatre speakers with it and result was sort of what you get with low power amplifiers. Factory fitted speakers are enough for normal family use or for anyone who doesnt want sound to bang into his head.
Mileage- I have driven 1100km in 6500 rupee petrol. Around 300 on highway and rest in city mostly during morning and off timing rush hours. I am happy with this because i never got above 10 or 11 km/l from my corolla in such driving conditions
I will highly recommend this car to anyone who is thinking about buying any hatchback whether swift vitz cultus or anything. I will rate it number 1 in all available bradnew hatchbacks in pakistan. A perfect first car for people with new jobs and small families. All those listening to random stupid degrading remarks about this car, do give it a try and you will surely rate it above all local hatchbacks and somewhere equal to vitz. Questions and critique is welcome
