FAW V2 Owner's Review

HBL took around 2-3 weeks for approval of case, and then payment was made on 4th april to FAW by bank. I got the car on 27th April. When i got the car, bank has already completed formality of insurance and tracker.

Alright Fellas!
It just crossed 1000kms and i didn't went to FAW dealership for first service because i felt they are overcharging.
So here is the breakdown of the all the items.

1. Mobil Super 1000 10W-30 4-Litres
2. Guard Oil Filter GDO-197
3. Car Wash
4. X-Hanging Air Fresher

All of it costs me Rs.2300
But can anybody tell me why everyone changing the gear oil after 1000kms where i didn't changed gear oil for any of my previous vehicles??? I know first 2 gears are bit too hard to apply sometimes but still it doesn't makes sense to change gear oil that soon.

2 things.

First 3 services from the dealership are necessary for warranty claim.

Changing gear oil at 1000km is mentioned in the owner's manual.

You do need to change gear oil of new car because there are residues of engine parts left inside which can cause damage to the vehicle.

Kindly tell me which transmission oil would be better for V2? What would be the cost of it?

Brother i am not owner of V2. You may ask @umairalizafar and @ipkiji

You can use any manual transmission oil that fits the specs as follows:
API GL4
SAE 75W90 or 85W90

You can get transmission oil for as cheap as 1000 PKR for Zic (?) I think. However, a lot of people nowadays use Toyota manual gear oil GL4, or Liqui Moly gear oil GL4+. They both cost around 3000.

. I am planning to sell my new cultus vxl (new shAp) and buy a faw v2 what u ppl suggest, the cultus has very poor build quality, doors and even suspension has noise after 20k is it a wise decision

My opinion is to go for faw v2 with eyes closed only if the dealership is present in your city.

Is there any need for throttle body cleaning around 20,000 Km? if yes should TB removed or just cleaned by spraying cleaner.

Overall car is doing good so personally I do not want to create any unnecessary mess.

Bro throttle body cleaning is not a big job, sirf air inlet pipe remove hota hai aur dust saaf ho jati hai spray say, acha hai kerwa lena chahiye specially agar ap dusty atmosphere mein gari chalatay hai otherwise not a big deal if your fuel avg is good

No, but now i feel that it just happened when AC is ON, otherwise didn't feel that much jerk in acceleration
