FAW V2 Owner's Review

My V2 gives strange garr garr sound when ac is switched on.
And its tappets produce tic tic sound when I press the pedal with running ac at 2000 rpm.
Should I get its engine tuned or what ?

Mileage is good.
11km/l with ac in lahore city.

Secodly my V2 is CBU. It does not have door rubbers so noise pollution and more dust.
From where can I get the rubbers installed in lahore ? And for what price for whole car ?

The tic tic sounds you mention is not the tappets, it is the ac relay, which turns off when throttle is given. V2 has hydraulic lifters, it doesn't need tuning.

Regarding the Garr Garr sound, get your compressor checked, looks like it is on the way out.

For door rubbers, you can check Montgomery road, if you don't want to get it done from dealership.

Gar Gar sound vibration hai jo kay AC fan chalnay ki waja say aati hai, mostly it happens due to a loose part in the Under bonnet, he needs to be get it identified while AC is ON.

No. That’s not the sound of relay , I know the sound of relay . It comes from the bonnet. Its tic tic tic tic in speedy manner. Car is just 30K run.

What are the charges for rubber installation from dealership ?

The gar gar sound comes when ac is on at idle speed. When car is moving it does not come.

Bhai aik to thottle body aur sparks plugs saaf kerwaein aur doosra check karein kahi bonnet rod to loose nahi hai, aur front grill aur Fans ki vibration bhi observe karien gari ka AC on ker kay. Hope you will point out the culprit, trust me it will be a very minor vibrating part that creates this annoying sound.

For next engine oil change use semi-synthetic or synthetic engine oil of any good brand. Avoid use of mineral oil.

This will help in getting rid of tic tic sound.

They are giving their own filters, oils are, however, not branded as FAW.

I am using Mobil Super 15W40 multigrade engine oil. My car is 31K run. Is this engine oil good ? What engine oil you people are using ?

I am using kixx g1 5w30 fully synthetic. Mobil 15w40 is also good, but it is mineral oil. Synthetic oils are better, but also more expensive.

We should stick to manufacturer's recommended lubricants.

here my few suggestion for faw v2 next model
1) Faw could improve there build quality little bit
2) move windows controls from center to driver side
3) make it better seal against wind on high speed
4) make front lamps with DRLS
5) for GOD sake change the audio unit
