FAW S80 is 90% identical to the 2011 model Toyota Avanza. 10% different in the sense that its coming from China, under Chinese brand name, being assembled in Pakistan, may not be of superior technology but, less costlier than the original 2011 model avanza if it was introduced as a new vehicle from Toyota Indus Motors. FAW S80 is like a 5 door Diahutsu Terios Kid model 2014 from Toyota or like a KIA Sportage model 2009. V2 is like a Vitz of 2006 model but with a different design of interior and exterior. FAW mini VAN and truck similarly are some clone of Suzuki vehicles with a different look. So, although FAW is a Chinese brand but the products they are offering are basically Japanese. Their built quality may not be superior but much better than all the coffin boxes offered by the local Suzuki and Toyota. Imported vehicles are good but they are used, discontinued, and in many cases accidental vehicles. To improve the resale value of FAW if one can afford and is thinking to get a new vehicle under 2million than he/ she should get a FAW with 3years of warranty. Use it for 20,000 to 50,000. Sell it to another person who wants something better than Mehran etc and play your part to support a Pakistani company and to hopefully bring a change in Pakistani car industry. We need more small vehicles like Coure due to traffic problems we are forced to face in cities. All vehicles should be off-road capable due to rough roads.
Update: Where I live, two families bought a FAW. One is White S80 and second one is XPV also in White color.
