I recently purchased a silver V2 after much deliberation and research.
We were on our way to purchase the Suzuki Wagon R and checked the V2 because the showroom was on the way and upon comparison, it was a no brainer to go for the V2. We have a couple of Wagon Rs in our street so we were able to do thorough comparisons.
Insha Allaah I will be posting regular updates, prioritizing facts rather than opinions so people can benefit.
Early Impressions:
The car has really good build quality. We inspected the paint job and found it to be of high quality. The drive home was smooth. Some people have said the interior is of low quality. I found it to be at par with JDM imports. Please feel free to check the V2 at a local showroom to confirm this. While at the showroom I met a young guy who has driven the car for about 4 months and he seemed very pleased.
Costs (Islamabad):
Including freight the cost comes to 10,69,000 (including 20,000 freight but this is negotiable)
I'm going to post an update with exact registration costs once the process is complete. I've checked with a contact and they say it's going to cost about 70-75 K (including 40,000 advanced tax). I've also found out that we'll have to pay 5 K annually as income tax. According to my contact who is aware of the laws, insurance isn't mandatory so we have opted out, mainly due to impermissibility.
