Why does "120 (Order to make Self assessment)" appear after filing of returns? It appears in the Orders section and at the end it says Granted/Accepted. I submitted tax returns for self and father. The said appeared for father but its not appeared for me yet.

I also want to ask concerning Foreign Remittance. I know about a Certificate that one gets from Bank which they seem to only give if you have a Foreign Currency account and realize that money in PKR via the same Bank. What I need to know is, HOW is the Foreign Remittance dealt with when sent to PKR Account. Since most of the legit Currency Exchanges abroad these days send the money to Bank account directly and it comes as fixed PKR amount. Do I need to get any sort of Certificate from Bank for such transactions? Or the receipt that the Sender gets and a Bank statement is enough?

I have been practicing Forex Trading online and that money is surely Foreign Remittance/Foreign Earning once I start trading big Insha'Allah. Wondering how that would be dealt with.

So this basically means that even if it appears in completed tasks, the 120 order should come and be granted? Otherwise it will go back to Draft and would need to re-submit if any objections?

Just wanted to update. I simply went to FBR Facilitation Desk and asked. They said I should not worry as long as my return is under COMPLETED TASKS. The guy was also telling someone else that sometimes the orders are done in batches on each Monday/first day of the week.

Lo and behold, 120 Order of Assessment (Granted/Accepted) appeared for me today. About 8 working days after filing the return so no body panic if this happens. If they don't approve, the Return should be out of Completed Tasks and in Outbox and objection should be present under Audit/Assessment but doubt that happens.

i was in search of this topic on internet. so got that thread. i want to ask that my 120 order still appear for the returns of 2014-15-16 but returns are in completed tasks. What could be possible reason.

stay calm, if there is an issue there must be an inbox message from FBR over the iris page

always print returns & acknowledgements same day and keep in record.

Is there possibility to remove business name from NTN? Actually there have showing 2 business name on my NTN number. I want to remove one business name from my NTN. What is the procedure and official fee, if any?

you need to apply for modification of form 181 there is no fee to it you can do it online only if you are Proprietor ( single owner ) of either company.

you can not do it if your name is under AOP ( association of persons aka partnership ) without evidence of dissolution of partnership

Is there possibility to remove business name from NTN? Actually my previous employer used my CNIC and registered a company on my CNIC with out my permission in 2010. I just come to know this when i was trying to register on IRIS, they said i m already registered. What is the procedure and official fee, if any?

if you have access to email ID & your cell number is used for passwd & verification process is simple
over IRIS you can click forget password and retrieve it.

once you have access to iris you can 1st modify the registration details wait for update.

if you do not have any such data, approach the regional tax office with an application to neutralize / suspend any earlier registration which is nothing but CNIC is misused.

further you need to be sure about NON-EXISTANCE of any partnership deed or agreement to operate business under certain arrangement.
