Feeling Heaviness in Driving

I am feeling heaviness in driving my Honda City 2010 1.3 MT, i also drove Honda City 2011 1.3 MT it was so light in driving. Last month i purchased this car, immediately i get it tuned from Honda Point, they changed engine oil, gear oil and clutch oil, air filter, oil filter and throttle body also serviced and tuned it through laptop. After that i serviced my catalytic converter, changed tire to Honda recommended size 175/65/15. But i am still feeling heaviness in driving, what should be the possible reason?

@saadalirana: What is mileage of your car? If its higher than 80,000kms then change your Spark Plugs. Go for OEM Honda Spark plugs, these will cost you around Rs.7300. Whereas in market you can get other Spark Plugs for Rs.1600 as well, but that will be waste of money.

Change original spark plugs from Honda, hopefully it will solve the issue.

its driven around 164,000 KM, when i visited Honda for tuning and throttle body service, the guy told me, spark plugs are fine. I noticed its color is orange not white nor black.
And did you faced same problem?

When honda guys cleaned catalytic converter did they by chance break Honeycomb inside converter?
It seems your exhaust is leaking or blocked? check for water drops coming under exhaust pipe.
check your silencer if its has carbon layer at opening
Get Meguin fuel system cleaner and drive on long route specially on highway/motorway at least 70 km shift gear at higher RPM.

As per Honda Service book, spark plugs has to be changed at 100,000kms (max). Not sure if previous owner changed them or not. Did they cleaned spark plugs during tuning? Try one test before purchasing new one:- Go to any good workshop and ask them to clean Spark Plugs, after cleaning all orange color should be gone and plugs should restore to original silver color. Ask them to ensure plug tip gap is accurate.

Then drive your car (on these cleaned plugs). If you feel difference in drive (light and responsive) then surely its your plugs. Buy new plugs, because if you kept running on these (cleaned) plugs then your drive will be heavy again after couple of days.

And oh before cleaning plugs, make sure your car has Original Honda OEM plugs. Might be previous owner changed them with after market (cheaper ones)

Just change fuel filter/pump and plugs if needed.
Fuel filter can be cleaned, but not at this much mileage. Your engine isn’t getting enough fuel. Use liqui moly injector cleaner as well when you change it. It will clear fuel lines and injectors as well.
Also, check the clutch, maybe it has completed its life, and need a change.

Mechanic checked fuel filter, and he said its fine, because if fuel filter has issues, i would experience missing or ignition problem. Second clutch is hard, it needs replacement but its not slipping, when i press full accelerator in first gear and release clutch, tires spin, i think clutch is fine. Do you think clutch could be the reason because of its hardness?

Yes, clutch makes a world of a difference, and wheel spin is not the way to check a clutch, just an fyi

Buying something overpriced doesn't make it better, honda makes you pay three times for the same thing available in the market for a lot less. If you don't believe me, look into from a technical perspective and not a layman's one and you shall then realize why these are called stealerships rather than dealerships :

Yeah but I didn't want to get into technical details with original poster (don't want to confuse him further ). Actually this model City comes with Irdium Spark Plugs which are originally 3 times expansive than Copper ones. Apart from dealership, you can search in open market and see price difference. My point was to make sure that no copper spark plugs are installed in his car.

Similarly, as you may know Air Filter in this model is made of Oil Layer on it and cost around Rs.1,650/-. However, in open market a sub-standard air filter (without oil layer) is available at Rs.650/- I guess I don't need to explain the benefit of that Oil Layer.

So yes if you want original product then you have to pay its price. You get what you paid for

And this same 4800 will be charged at around 8000 at the company, Sir, I was not taking about different quality products, i was talking about the same product purchased from different localities. Closing your eyes and throwing your money towards the stealership is your right, but don't push it on to others.

I never said to buy from dealership at any cost. I simply suggested to buy Original product and Original products are always costly as compared to 2 numbers items. That's my point. Its upto you whether you buy from dealership, open market or online store but atleast get original product if want performance from car.

I understand OEM products are not everyone's cup of tea. Its okay if someone don't want to install OEM product but then atleast he should not complain about performance.
