Seriously though: this Fireblade dude has really raised the bar when it comes to imports. In the last month alone he has imported well over 1million USD in cars.

I've replied on my topic but I'll reply here too. The beetle you asked is around 6,500 I think, Starting price. Prices depends alot on spec, millage, previous owners, service history etc and I think they start from around 6,500 if you look for 2003+ with 50,000 miles max.

I hear you. Still, a cheap deal even if one adds freight and duties. Add a 1000GBP and the price goes up by about 80 grand, for , i'm sure a fairly decent car. VW is big in India, so servicing is not a problem. VW should import the Beetle into India. There's a huge market for such cars now in India. Companies are offering down money on cars as incentives to lure people. For eg., WIPRO here in Madras is offering 2lacs towards purchasing a new car as one of the incentives for Asst. Manager positions. It's not a loan. That's how it is!...
