its a petrol 1.6 but i think the engine is good enough and i dnt need any updation on that only thing is the body its tooo haevy so can i do something with the body....?

You can go for some carbon fiber panels but i wont recommend that. 1.6 petrol must be potent enough for this size of a car

yup ur ryt 1.6 petrol engine is very powerful but due to the body wait its not going beyong 145kmps where as i have an Alto as well with 1.1 petrol engine and it too reaches same speed so thats why i was thinking of something .....carbon fibre is good but is it made on order or is it a readymade and what r things that i can change using carbon fiber...

hhmm i dont think so coz i have already altered with the ECU chip, i have coded it in freeway so it cant be restricted, previously it was doing somewhere around 120+ but after decoding of the chip its 140+ so it can go further if i put in some extra in it like kn&s air intakes and NOS etc but still the main issue is body weight, its way too much heavy....

Body weight is not that much to restrict top speed to this level. I think there is something wrong with it itself.

I agreed @ spectra. As uno's body is not that heavy which can restrict the top speed.
BTW exactly what engine is under the hood:? do u have its specification ? As per me an average 1.6 L engine shud produce 85~95 BHP which is enough power to run that body ~ 180Kmph (if u have over come the speed limiter thing).

BTW here in Pakistan Uno is sold only wid 1.7D engine(non EFi) & our cars (Mine & spectra's) hits ~150Kmph wid Diesel motor producing 57BHP only.

well as i told u its a 1.6 engine and there's no speed alimitation now, so whats the reason it gives me only 145 max apeed no matter how hard i try it never goes beyond 145 to 150....... everything is tuned up. Recently i had it serviced as well and even the mechanic said that there's nothing wrong with it"engine" and he told me that due to body weight its doing so.....

Specs says Top speed is 155Kmph. I personaly achieved 145 Kmph several time with 4~5 passengers on board. SOme members have observed ~ 150Kmph. So share us with ur observations & deatils of issu u r facing.

In Lahore there are a few zero meter FIAT UNOs for sale. I think that the company has assembled the remanng CKDs from the 2000 Production.

They are at a bargan price of 435Ks.

I want to seek the opinion of the members, should I buy it as you dont get even a New Mehran in this price. And UNO comes with a powerful diesel engine.

Now my concern is that; Did FIAT UNO fail in pakistan due to mechanicaal issues or somthing else.

Should I buy one or not?

Please advise

Fiat Uno fails in to Pakistani market due to 2 reasons, unavailablity of parts & lack of experties in mechanics Parts are available now to some extant but the good mechnics are not. If u include registartion cost of 1700 CC car it will reach ~ 500K & in this price u can get immaculate condition Nissan Sunny (B14) 2.0D. So in my point of view that new Uno is not good deal at this time however it worths if u got some good old car below 200K price tag.
