For the diesel, genuine filters are a must! including the fuel filter!. And no, it's not the same thing at all! Guard is guard, toyota gets it from Denso! I know because ive been there done that. And like bluespark said, the genuine air filter's base is all rubber and no plastic. using the guard filter introduces a significant amount of retarded noise. you'd have to be deaf not to catch it. Oil? any good oil should do. Im explicitly talking for the 2c engine.
Edit: on my last service, the genuine Denso air filter from toyota costed me 1750, and the fuel filter about 2500. i cant rember how much the oil filter was for though. I have an air compressor which i use to clean the air filter like every sunday. Should last longer but i change it after its done 4000km.
Also, Both of these things come from japan, not made in pakistan. Check for a stamp on the element.
