excellent purchase, very easy on ear super clean sounding and you can listen whole day to these and your ears will ask for more i mean they are that pleasing......

by the way why dint u opt for morel supremos?

brother its been a while......I like to take it step by step.....if you know what I mean...If I went for the supremos straight away what then for the future........logic in progression......

Morels in front and Type R in trunk? Not a suitable sub !
Your taste is totally ditched towards to warm Sq ,So get yourself atleast Focal Polyglass sub

Right so heres the deal.........I have an aversion to anything Focal........I had a couple of bad experiences with some of their products and have sworn off them..........you will never see anything focal on my thread or in the system in my car or the second car which I have just bought and building a system in...........

It seems that they do not suit my tastes......

I had an epiphany recently when I was testing my morel speakers.....which I am willing to share here....I am more than happy with the sound in my car.....I have spent a tonne on the system if you have been following my thread...you can do the math .......and mashallah se it is running well at the moment....some minor details to be ironed out.......but the point I am making is I will not buy for the sake of it....the type R and the current comps, amplifiers all are doing it for me.....

And I will tell you what tilted the balance of it for me....and that is the P99rs which I am running......I mean what it has done is just tightened everything up and is extracting the potential of all the audio equipment I am running in my car.......Pre p99 yes the sound was good but not at the level it currently is at .....Its like a concert of sorts.......

I would advise anyone who can and who is building a system to buy the p99 ......Without it I would go so far as to say no use using any other pre.....because you will never know how your system could sound unless you used it...your systems potential could never be reached....since you are building your system again I would advise you to go for one eyes closed.....you will not regret it..........

I agree with Talha...regarding sub u should get focal 33kx or JL 12w6 to complement ur awesome front stage. Do consider these if next time want to change sub. Rest all is exceptionally awesome

thanks brother..............like I was mentioning above apart from a couple of minor details I am quite happy with the sound at the moment....and the p99 is to thank for that.....I can't wait for you to install yours and note the difference.....it will be like night and day........especially with running the appropriate 320 recording.............

well brother when the installer had messed stuff up I remember how It felt to lose that sound and now how it feels to have not only that sound back but for it to be marginally better......I mean it then led me to realize that once you have the perfect sound dont go chasing rainbows unless their is a pot of gold for sure at the end....car audio is a very finicky thing...you can get the perfect sound but when you try to get something even better you may lose the sound that you had ....and then their is alot of trial and error to get it back....

and at this point I do not have the patience to go through that experience again........I mean a few details have to be ironed out but I will only buy like I have always done when I AM sure that it will improve the sound....if you look at everything that I have bought in the last 6 months you can see it has been a road a long journey of trial and error which has led me to the jackpot finally......most people would take years to accumulate the stuff and to test it....but in my passion and dedication I hit the nail on the head .....with alot of help from a select few pakwheelers ,....as regards our numerous conversations I am sure you get my point..........

I will never forget the reaction of this guy who was running a full on active system and who sat in my car and fell in love with the sound......even though I am running passive......

the change i might do in the future is active..........

the morels I have not even installed as of yet.....tried them a fair bit........might install them in the future or sell them as a dear friend is trying to buy them from me .....what to do ........hes an old friend........im going to decide soon.........

and brother please install your p99 soon and enjoy.............you have waited long enough.........

I can understand how frustrating it is when u spend a lot of money and not getting wt u want.....It all boils down to wt sound good to your ears That y i mentioned in my post that IF ever u want to change ur sub then u can consider the above mentioned subs cz they are proven to be one of the best subs around. As u go up the ladder the difference in quality narrows down unless u have musically sensitive ears So for now jus enjoy ur music. I will again update my thread very soon with some reviews and pics

And as far as system is concerned you cant be so sure about its balance unless you do a RTA.
If you are currently more than happy with your system then no need to do anything, just sit back and relax. If you wont experiment, you wont move ahead

haha rockmars talha good one:D....brother if you have followed my thread from the start to now only been six months and look at the experimenting I have done. Shopkeepers run......I mean the highlights themselves beg a drumroll:
1. Changed the pre three times from the pioneer 4050ub, to Alpine 133cbt to Pioneer 8450bt to the P99 all in half a year.
2. Changed speakers from SPS600s to bostons to morels in three months
3. changed the sub 2wice. So experimentation fair to say I have done quite abit and had the will to go through with the purchases and constantly chopping and changing.

All for a purpose right and that is sound that I enjoy which is currently what I have.

As for learning look I mean we all read diyma amongst other websites.... ...i see alot quoted on pakwheels garnered from that website......there is no monopoly on learning and discovery....

which is why I do not like to just buy things and just keep them for show and tell but to install them.....eh talha;)

your first statement in this post actually sums up my position exactly. It is EXACTLY after spending so much money and the install guy messing up the testing a month ago and me getting the sound back better than ever the reason I am so happy with it.

I mean when he messed it up I was like the sound was great before why did I even test something different.....It took like half a year to reach the level where it is right now that people with an active system prefer the sound in my car. remember the story I told you on the phone about the p90 guy........get my point.......

after all we work towards getting a sound that we like....thats the point isint it....and that is exactly where I am at the moment.....

yes for the future when I am tired of this and want a change I will keep that in mind ....still will not be focal though...anything but....I mean there are so many other brands out there ...when I was in america the list was endless....on one of my next trips out there I may pick up some magic;).........

now just have to decide what to do with the morels install or .........

I really do want to install the morels....and check the capabilities but you know what happened the last time I checked...

so now I have two choices....to go back and to try out the morels again or to sell them to my friend who wants them .....after all only 500 of these limited editions made and he really wants them.....

I just wonder whether the guy will do it properly this time and not mess up the sound bliss I have at the moment.....I mean the guy is a whiz....I guess everyone can have a bad day.....

plus with the front stage being what it will be I wonder if the alpine sps600s can keep up in the rear? I prefer the sound stage to be equal and not overwhelmingly front or back............I am partial to changing the back speakers if need be doesnt matter....if I install the morels that is......and yes I do like speakers in the back as well as front

plus lastly is opening up the car so many times a good idea....i mean it is still fairly new and I feel I have performed surgery on it far to many times.....

If u have the budget and can source the morel superemo then y not, shud go for it otherwise u can install these and enjoy them

mughal brother I think you misunderstood I meant i dont know if I should install the morels or keep up with what I am running at the moment...........as I will have to balance the front and back stage....If I install the morels they are xtremely powerful...............dont know if the sps 600s can keep up in the rear.......

supremos or anything else only when and if I am not happy with the elates as they are a work in art..........

Don worry abt d rears....u don need powerful sound from d back. Front stage is more than enough. U cn sell ur current setup to ur frnd n install morels

I know rear stage to sort of fill the front stage. Today I installed a head unit in my new car. Did not have time to do my car today . I think I never want to sell my BA s60's I love them. Sort of massaging you whilst you drive. Quite tasty. The morels though are something completely different and require litres of juice to keep them singing. I might try them soon in my car when I get the time and see what the sound is like when powered by the mighty F6.

Then probably will make the final decision. A pity vanadiums are not available here.

Since the morels are so powerful and high end some have speaker enclosures built for them ..........wondering if there was any merit to it for my car......

Thee doors itself work like enclosures. Power handling increases when doors are completely deadened and sealed. As you have dynamat installed, no need to worry about enclosure. Just make sure that every corner of the door is damped and deadened with sealant and then you are good to go. And also don't forget the coupling of mid bass drivers.
